Candice LeRae won the #1 contenders battle royal by last eliminating Shotzi Blackheart. By winning the battle royal, LeRae has earned a NXT Women's Championship match against Io Shirai at Takeover.

Kyle O'Reilly defeated Kushida, Timothy Thatcher, Bronson Reed, and Cameron Grimes in the first ever gauntlet eliminator match to earn the right to face Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at Takeover.
