We're in the Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas for Smackdown tonight coming off a big SummerSlam full of shocking returns! We open with SummerSlam highlights including Becky Lynch's return. Since Pat McAfee is out with COVID, we got COREY GRAVES AND KEVIN OWENS on commentary. We're starting with THE MAN!!!
New WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring. Loud "Becky" chants from the crowd. She says The Man has come around to Little Rock. It feels good to be back and back on top! She says she missed us. When she had to give up her Raw Women's Championship, she felt like she was giving up her life and identity. She's been working hard to get back to where she once was. Now, she has new priorities but now she's even more deadly. Which brings her to SummerSlam. Some cheers and boos. She says there has been controversy and knows people say what she did was underhanded. She says she's sorry.......FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Lynch says it's all about opportunity because she was preparing every day for it. CUE BIANCA BELAIR!! She dances and skips to the ring when she should be pissed. Belair wants a mic and she says she's not going to make excuses. However, she's not ok with what happened at SummerSlam. Belair says she's worked too hard for Lynch to come in and erase that in 26 seconds. Belair says she accepted Lynch's last minute challenge. So, Belair wants a title shot tonight! ZELINA VEGA INTERRUPTS!! Vega calls Belair a whiner that's crying for a rematch. "You suck" chants to Vega. Vega tells Belair not to embarrass herself again. Vega suggests she should get the title match. CARMELLA OUT NOW. She obviously wants the title shot. She says she only had one hour to prepare as Banks replacement. LIV MORGAN OUT NOW!! The crowd pops for her!! Morgan makes her case for a title shot. Carmella makes fun of Morgan sitting in catering. Belair cuts the others off and once again wants the match for tonight. Becky says "Nah" and walks out!!! Vega and Carmella laugh at Belair. A brawl breaks out with the four ladies. We go to a commercial.
After the break, we got a #1 contenders fatal four way elimination match. Belair eliminated Vega first with a KOD. Liv eliminates Carmella after hitting Oblivion. Belair defeated Morgan via pin @ 12:08 to become the #1 contender for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship. Belair hit the KOD for the win but Morgan did have a good showing.

Paul Heyman is shown backstage when Kayla Braxton approaches him to ask about Brock Lesnar's return. Kayla asks Heyman where he stands and Heyman says he stands where he always stands.....next to or behind the Tribal Chief. Heyman goes to enter Reigns locker room and the door is locked!
Commentary hypes Roman Reigns' family championship celebration. Highlights of Reigns/Cena are shown including Brock Lesnar's return.
Kayla is still with Heyman who's still trying to get in Reigns locker room. Heyman tells her to get lost. Heyman tries the door again and the Usos walks out. Heyman wants to be part of the plan. The Usos imply that Heyman knew Lesnar was coming back. Heyman says why would he tear down everything beat up. Heyman swears he didn't know about Lesnar. Usos also ask Heyman why he sent them back to the locker room and Heyman says Reigns did that.
Cesaro defeated Chad Gable w/ Otis via DQ @ 2:20. The match ended when Otis came in to attack Cesaro while he was swinging Gable. Post match, Gable holds Cesaro down and Otis hits him with a second rope splash.
Kayla Braxton is in the parking lot waiting on Reigns' arrival. A Bentley pulls up and IT'S BARON CORBIN!! He says he's HAPPY CORBIN now and he's filthy rich!!!
HAPPY CORBIN comes out to the ring with new music that sounds like a slot machine. He gets a mic and tells us to look at him! He was thinking about filing bankruptcy on Monday and he thought he hit rock bottom. However, now he looks incredible and he did it all on his own. Highlights of him losing to Big E at SummerSlam and he left there with $35. Highlights of Corbin throughout Vegas winning a bunch of money. It's a funny vignette and calls himself the "Mayor of Jackpot City". He puts over his clothes and Bentley. He says his wife welcomed him home. He wants us all to call him "HAPPY CORBIN". Corbin says one thing can make him happier, but we can't do it. CORBIN CALLS OUT BIG E WHO COMES OUT. Corbin appreciates Big E coming out here. Big E is just glad Corbin doesn't smell anymore. Corbin wants to make things right with Big E after stealing his contract. CORBIN SAYS HE WANTS TO BUY IT!! How much? Corbin offers Big E $20,000 and Big E refuses. $50,000 now? Big E says no. Corbin says he'll cash in and lose anyways. Big E brings up Corbin doing that. Corbin's final offer is $100,000!!! Big E contemplates but still says HELL NO!! Big E offers him a half eaten sandwich, a pencil, and an Arkansas Razorback toy instead. Corbin says this is a joke to Big E and Corbin is too rich and too happy for this. Corbin tells Big E to go ahead and cash in to lose. Big E tells Corbin to hit the bricks or he'll slap the smile off his face. Corbin leaves.
Highlights of Edge vs. Seth Rollins from SummerSlam. Earlier today, Edge cuts a promo about defeating a generational talent in Rollins. It was at a price though because Edge had to go to a dark place he doesn't like to go to. It effected him at home and life. It's over though. Edge claims he's moving on to the WWE Universal Championship.
Seth Rollins is backstage and says he's only got one thing to say to Edge.....Congratulations. Rollins says some are calling it match of the year and one of Edge's best matches. Rollins says it taught him a lot about himself. He says Edge won his respect and admiration. Rollins says if he wants to fight his way back to the WWE Universal Championship, maybe he needs to be more like Edge. So, thank you and congratulations.
Roman Reigns has arrived backstage. He goes to his locker room where Heyman is waiting outside. Reigns asks Heyman what he's doing and asks if he needs to open the door for him. Heyman opens the door and Reigns asks if he's coming in. It appears Reigns has no idea everything the Usos had done as he finds Heyman's behavior odd. Are there cracks in the Bloodline?
Rick Boogs & Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Intercontinental Champion) defeated Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode via pin @ 9:06. Boogs finished Ziggler off with a pump handle slam. Apollo Crews cuts a promo mid match basically saying he's still coming after the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Sonya Deville is backstage when NAOMI comes in. She's the newest member of Smackdown and wants to know who her first match is against. Deville says she didn't know Naomi is coming and has nothing for her today. Naomi says she's a 2-time Smackdown champion and objects. Deville sends her on her way.
Rey and Dominik Mysterio talk backstage. Rey says it's time for him to step back and let Dominik do things on his own. Dominik wants to know what that means. Rey says he believes Dominik is ready to do it and tells him to stay focused. Dominik heads to the ring solo. He'll face a surprise opponent next.
Sami Zayn defeated Dominik Mysterio via pin @ 7:53. Zayn pinned Dominik after hitting a Helluva Kick. Rey came down to ringside during the match but didn't get involved. Post match, Rey tries to help Dominik up but Dominik doesn't want help. Heel turn coming for Dominik?
Another vignette airs featuring the next NXT logo.
The Bloodline is in gorilla getting ready to head to the ring. Heyman tries to hand Reigns his title but Reigns has Heyman keep it. They have new t-shirts that are pretty slick. Heyman looks nervous. Reigns takes the title from Heyman on the ramp and holds it up. After a commercial break, they're all in the ring holding up their titles. Heyman hands Reigns a mic. Reigns is about to say something but then gives the mic to Heyman. Heyman says the Tribal Chief has given us permission to acknowledge him!! Reigns tells Heyman something else. Heyman it's our priviledge to also acknowledge the Usos. Reigns talks more to Heyman. Heyman says this is the moment in the show where we all get to celebrate the face that we have "CENA NUFF" of Mr. John Cena. Heyman puts over the beating that Reigns gave Cena at SummerSlam. Heyman starts to say something else and FINN BALOR INTERRUPTS!!! Balor has a mic and tells Reigns that he knows Cena screwed Balor out of shot. Balor says he'll do with Cena later. Balor says Edge and Lesnar are talking about championship matches. Balor was going to challenge Reigns for Extreme Rules but he doesn't trust anyone. Balor wants Reigns next week on Smackdown!! BALOR THROWS THE MIC AT REIGNS AND ATTACKS!!! The Usos help Reigns beat down Balor. THE STREET PROFITS COME OUT TO HELP BALOR!! BALOR HITS A COUPE DE GRACE ON JIMMY AS REIGNS WATCHES FROM THE RAMP!!
