Smackdown 6/4/2021: Three Championship Matches; Belair Challenges Bayley; Reigns Makes Things Right!

WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Bianca Belair has a challenge for Bayley
It's Friday so that means we're in the ThunderDome for Smackdown. We open the show with WWE Universal Champion ROMAN REIGNS and PAUL HEYMAN heading to the ring. No Usos. McAfee calls Reigns the greatest superstar of all time!! Commentary hypes what's scheduled for tonight. Heyman gets a mic for Reigns. "Roman sucks" chants from the fans as Reigns just shakes his head. Reigns says he believes in being direct in how he is feeling. Reigns says he wasn't happy last Friday by the end of the night. With the council from the wise man and a full week to chew on it, Reigns has changed his position on this tag team championship opportunity that the Usos have tonight. It's no secret that he's the center piece but he's a giver. He allowed this to happen. Let's be clear, Jimmy said it all last week and Reigns is sure he's feeling it. If you say you're going to win, you better win. Reigns says why wait? Let's do it right now. Reigns tells Heyman to get the Usos out here right now. HERE COME THE USOS. Both the Usos grab mics. Jey starts talking and hugs Reigns. Jimmy chooses not to acknowledge Reigns. Jimmy says he thought he already did at Hell in a Cell last year when he got choked out. Jimmy says tonight isn't about that. Tonight is about becoming 7-time tag champs, locking down the whole tag division, and making the family proud. Reigns exhales with a disappointed look on his face and wishes them luck. Reigns says Jimmy called the shot. Reigns gets that because he does that. Reigns says he gets the job done so he tells them to make sure they win! Reigns tells them that their whole family is watching so get the job done. Then bring him the titles when it's over! A pumped up Jimmy says "Welcome to the Uso Penitentiary". Reigns and Heyman leave and the Mysterios make their way to the ring. The match is next!
We get a SummerSlam vignette. It's 8-21-21!
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos vs. Dominik & Rey Mysterio (champs)
Jimmy and Dominik are going to start it off. They lock up and Jimmy with a shoulder tackle. Dominik gets back up and Jimmy run the ropes. Dominik takes Jimmy down with a drop kick and then an arm drag. A tag brings Rey in and the Mysterios hit Jimmy with a double hip toss. Dominik powerbombs Rey onto Jimmy for a near fall. Jey makes a blind tag and the Usos hit Rey with double team elbows. Near fall for Jey. Jey hits Rey with a back breaker for another near fall. Jey misses a jumping head butt and Rey with right hands now. Rey with a head scissors sends Jey into the ropes. Rey with a knee strike and Jimmy makes a blind tag now. Jimmy hangs Rey up across the top rope and covers for a near fall. Reigns and Heyman are watching backstage. Jimmy with a chin lock on Rey now. Rey escapes with a jaw breaker. Jimmy keeps Rey from building momentum by hitting an enziguri for a near fall. Jimmy chokes Rey across the rope and Jey is able to get a cheap shot in. Jey tags in and both Usos wishbone split Rey. Rey rolls out of the ring and Jey follows. JEY BACK SUPLEXES REY ON THE APRON. Jey throws Rey back in the ring and pulls him to the Uso corner. Tag to Jimmy who stomps the midsection of Rey before going back to the chin lock. Rey fights to his feet and lands a kick. Blind tag by Jey. Rey knocks Jey off the apron and then sends Jimmy out of the ring as well. REY TRIES HIS FACE FIRST BASEBALL SLIDE BUT JEY CATCHES HIM AND SAMOAN DROPS HIM ON THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!! The table doesn't break and we go to a commercial.
We're back with Jey stomping Rey in the corner and beating the hell out of him. Commentary says it's been all Usos during the break. Jimmy gets a tag. Jey holds Rey and Jimmy with a double axe from the top for a near fall. Jey tags back in as the beat down on Rey continues. Jey with a chin lock. Rey fights out of it and drop toe holds Jey into the second turnbuckle. Rey tries for a tag. Jimmy get a tag and prevents Rey from tagging Dominik. Jimmy pulls Rey to the corner and tags Jey back in. Jey hits a jumping head butt. Jey backs Rey into the corner but Rey avoids a splash. Jimmy tags in. Rey fights out of the corner. Jey charges and posts himself which allows Rey to tag Dominik! DOMINIK SUICIDE DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES TO TAKE OUT BOTH USOS!! Back in the ring, Dominik hits Jimmy with a spring board cross body!! 1...2...NO!! Dominik with a neck breaker to Jey but turns into a super kick from Jimmy! Jimmy sends Dominik to the corner but Dominik counters and hits a cartwheel DDT. It's not as good as the one Jake Atlas does if you're wondering. Dominik goes up to the top rope but Jimmy cuts him off. Both men fight to the top and Jey tags himself in. Dominik knocks Jey to the apron and jumps over Jimmy with a roll through. DOMINIK TURNS INTO AN ASSISTED POP UP SAMOAN DROP!! 1...2...NO!! Jimmy gets a tag and Dominik avoids a double super kick! Dominik low bridges and both Usos go over the top rope. Rey hits Jey with a seated senton off the apron but turns into a super kick by Jimmy! Back in the ring, Jimmy with a kick to Dominik but then Dominik drop toe holds Jimmy to the middle rope. DOMINIK GOES FOR A 619 BUT EATS A SUPER KICK FROM JIMMY!! JIMMY GOES TO THE TOP AND TRIES A SPLASH BUT DOMINIK COUNTERS WITH A VICTORY ROLL FOR THE WIN!! JIMMY KICKED OUT AT 2 BUT THE REF DIDN'T SEE IT!! Post match, The Usos complain to the ref. Replays show Jimmy kicked out.

Up next, Kayla Braxton has a sit down interview with Seth Rollins. We see footage of Rollins beat down on Cesaro.

Reigns screams at the Usos backstage and he doesn't want to hear their excuses. Reigns says they lost to a child out there haha. Reigns says they called their shot and then embarrassed the family. Reigns says they're lucky that there's still time left in the show. Reigns tells them to go to Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, or whoever to fix this. Reigns wants this fixed by the end of the night. They need to understand Reigns' position. Reigns says they're 6-time tag champs who have only been to WrestleMania once. In less than a year next to Reigns, Jey has been able to close out shows with his head high. Reigns asks Jimmy if he understands his position while looking at Jey. Jey tells Reigns that he's Jey and not Jimmy. Reigns shakes his head and says with the way things are going, it doesn't matter. REIGNS IS BRILLIANT HERE!!
Kayla Braxton is with Seth Rollins now for the interview. Rollins thanks Kayla for having him. Kayla asks what his explanation is for his attack on Cesaro? We see footage of it again. Rollins smiles but makes no comment. Kayla says we've seen Cesaro in similar circumstances and he always comes back. Rollins says he sees what Kayla is trying to do here. Rollins says he doesn't owe Kayla or the WWE Universe anything. Rollins says he won't answer her leading questions. Kayla asks Rollins what happens when Cesaro returns to Smackdown? Rollins takes off his mic and throws it at Kayla. Kayla says thank you and that's the end of that.
The Street Profits are backstage and Chad Gable approaches them. Gable is sorry to interrupt but he feels he needs to comment of the downward trend of their careers. He's analyzed their matches and it's obvious that profits are down. Gable says Ford has lost 6 inches off his frog splash and Dawkins' sky high is more like a grounded medium. Gable offers to help them. The Profits are offended and tell Gable it's a hard no. The Profits walk off.
Carmella makes her way to the ring. She'll face Liv Morgan next! Pre-match promo from Carmella who is now proclaiming herself as "The Most Beautiful Woman in all WWE".
Ozzy Osbourne's "Straight to Hell" is the official theme for Hell in a Cell.
The Usos go to talk to Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. Pearce says it appears the ref made a mistake but the ref's decision is final. Deville says the ref definitely made a mistake and they'll review it.
Carmella vs. Liv Morgan
Carmella pie faces Morgan to begin and then avoids a charging Morgan by getting out of the ring. Morgan chases Carmella around the ring. Carmella gets back in the ring but Liv pulls her back out and sends her into the barricade a few times. Morgan bounces Carmella's face off the apron a few times before sending her back in the ring. Carmella kicks Morgan in the knee and then a super kick to the face. Carmella with elbows to Morgan in the corner. Near fall for Carmella. Morgan reverses Carmella and sends her into the corner but misses a splash. Morgan hits Carmella with a back stabber like back breaker which sends Carmella to the corner. Morgan with a double stomp in the corner for a near fall. Morgan charges again but Carmella moves and Morgan gets hung up in the ropes. CARMELLA SLAMS MORGAN TO THE MAT BY HER HAIR! CARMELLA LOCKS IN CODE OF SILENCE AND MORGAN TAPS!! Short match. They need some more ladies on the roster desperately. Post match, Carmella has Greg Hamilton announce her as "The Most Beautiful Woman in all WWE".

WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Bianca Belair is walking the halls. She's up next with a challenge for Bayley.
A vignette hypes a contract signing for Raw between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. Also, Shayna Baszler confronts Alexa Bliss.
Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville find the Dominik and Rey Mysterio backstage as they're trying to leave the building. They say the ref made a mistake tell them that they must defend their tag titles against the Usos again tonight in a rematch!! The Mysterios don't seem thrilled but they agree to do it. We see highlights of the ending of the tag match earlier.
Bianca Belair makes her way to the ring. Belair says Bayley has been jealous ever since she won the title but all Bayley does is laugh about it. Belair says the fans aren't laughing with Bayley, they're laughing at her. Belair is annoyed with Bayley's laugh and it's getting to her a little bit. Belair then says Bayley isn't the first person to try to keep her down in her life. Belair says people would call her a showoff and call her "manish" because of her strength. Belair left those people in the dust by winning trophy after trophy and title after title. Belair is used to dealing with bullies but not with someone laughing in her face. Belair calls is disrespect and won't stand for it. Belair calls out Bayley. She wants a match with Bayley and wants to face the laughing Bayley at Hell in a Cell. No appearance by Bayley but we hear laughing. Bayley is on the tron and says she's here via satellite. Bayley says she's in her oasis clearing her mind. She is surrounded by picture of Bayley with championships. Bayley accepts the challenge. Bayley says when she beats Belair at Hell in a Cell, she won't be the only one laughing because everyone will be. All the monitors in the building become laughing Bayley faces. I don't mind these two feuding as it delivers but to feud over someone laughing is a bit of a stretch.
The Street Profits are backstage when Otis walks up. Otis wants an apology for mocking Chad Gable. Ford says they don't owe anyone an apology. They offer Otis some advice. The Profits say Gable is holding Otis back. Ever since teaming with Gable, Otis hasn't accomplished anything. Maybe he should get his money back. OTIS SLAPS THE HELL OUT OF FORD AND SENDS DAWKINS INTO A CRATE! Commercial time.
Back from the break, King Corbin is in the ring. We see highlights of the events that have taken place in recent weeks between Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura along with Rick Boogs.
King Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura w/ Rick Boogs
Boogs plays Nakamura to the ring and McAfee dancing to Nakamura's entrance is just great. Corbin takes Nakamura to the corner right away and pounds on him. Nakamura avoids a charge and hits a kick. Nakamura puts Corbin on the top and hits the running knee to the midsection. Near fall for Nakamura. Corbin hits a punch and lifts Nakamura with a choke and slams him. Near fall for Corbin. Corbin mounts Nakamura and hits him with rights. Nakamura counters with an arm bar. Corbin gets to the ropes. Kicks and knees by Nakamura. Corbin is sent to the corner and goes under to the outside. Corbin hits Boogs with a clothesline on the outside. Back in the ring, Nakamura plants Corbin with a STO for a near fall. NAKAMURA GOES FOR A KICK BUT CORBIN AVOIDS IT AND ROLLS NAKAMURA UP USING THE TIGHTS FOR THE WIN!! The war over the crown will continue.

Post match, Corbin gets his crown back but Boogs trips him. Boogs provides a distraction and Nakamura hits Corbin with a kick allowing Nakamura to take the crown.
We get highlights of the Apollo Crews vs. Kevin Owens match from last week.
Kevin Owens is walking backstage when COMMANDER AZEEZ ATTACKS HIM!! Azeez slams Owens into the wall and sends a travel case into him. Azeez goes for the Nigerian Nail but officials are here to stop it. Apollo Crews walks by and laughs before walking off. Their match is next!

Apollo Crews (champ) vs. Kevin Owens
Owens limps to the ring. Crews goes right after the injured ribs of Owens with a rib breaker and a kick. Crews pounds on Owens in the corner. Crews with a snap suplex before going back to the body. Crews sends Owens to the ropes and buries a knee to the midsection. Crews sends Owens hard into the corner. Crews sends Owens off the ropes but Owens hits a kick and then a clothesline. Senton by Owens but it hurts him just as much. Owens wants the Pop Up Power Bomb but can't because of the ribs. Crews hits a super kick and then charges but Owens low bridges sending Crews to the outside. Owens wants a dive but is in pain just from hitting the ropes. Crews drops Owens on the apron and then HITS AN ANGLE SLAM ON THE FLOOR as we go to a break.
We're back with Crews still in control stomping Owens. Crews with a running knee to the body of Owens followed by a belly to belly suplex. Owens tries to battle back but Crews hits another belly to belly! German suplex by Crews gets a near fall. Crews wants another German but Owens counters with a German of his own! Right hands by Owens now but Crews drives him into the corner. Crews puts Owens on the top and goes up with him. Crews wants a superplex but Owens blocks. A head butt by Owens sends Crews off. Owens tries a Swanton but Crews gets the knees up! Step up enziguri by Crews followed by another German! Standing moonsault by Crews for a near fall! Crews goes to the top but misses a splash. Owens with a super kick now. Crews charges the corner but Owens moves and Crews posts himself. Owens hits another super kick. OWENS HITS THE POP UP POWER BOMB!! 1...2...NO!! Owens goes up to the top now but Crew rolls to the apron. Both men battle on the apron now and CREWS HITS OWEN WITH A DEATH VALLEY DRIVER ON THE APRON!! CREWS ROLLS OWENS IN THE RING AND GETS THE WIN!! Good win for Crews and Owens sold the ribs very well.

The Street Profits are backstage. The Profits say Gable is the only one being disrespectful around here. They warn Otis and tell him to stay away after this because they're about to send both Gable and Otis back to the dump. The street profits are still up and they still want the smoke.
The Usos are getting ready. The main event is next!

Dominik and Jimmy are starting it again. Dominik with right hands to Jimmy to start. Dominik goes off the ropes but runs into an elbow by Jimmy for a near fall. Cover again. A third cover by Jimmy. Jimmy with strikes now backs Dominik to the corner where Jey tags in. Jey with a scoop slam for a near fall. Dominik is sent to the corner but fights out of it but Jey catches him with a back suplex that he turns into a neck breaker! Dominik rolls to the outside. JEY WITH A SUICIDE DIVE TO TAKE OUT DOMINIK AS WE GO TO A BREAK.
We're back with Jey hitting Dominik with right hands. Near fall for Jey. Jey with a chin lock now. Dominik gets to his feet but Jey with another right. Jey looks to send Dominik to the corner but Dominik counters and Jey is sent face first into the middle turnbuckle. Rey and Jimmy both get tags! Rey runs wild as he picks up the pace. Rey hits a spring board cross body for a near fall. Rey sends Jimmy to the ropes but Jimmy catches him with an elbow. Tag to Jey who wants a power bomb on Rey but Jimmy makes blind tag. Rey counters the power bomb with a rana and Jimmy rolls up from behind. Rey rolls through that and hits a kick. Rey with a baseball slide to Jimmy. REY WITH THE BASEBALL SLIDE SPLASH TO JIMMY CONNECTS THIS TIME!! Jimmy gets back in the ring. Jey tries to attack Rey outside but Rey ducks and Jey hits the ring post. Back in the ring, Rey takes down Jey with a head scissors and Jey is draped across the middle rope. REY HITS THE 619!! Tag to Dominik. DOMINIK GOES TO THE TOP AND HERE'S ROMAN REIGNS WITH A SUPERMAN PUNCH TO DOMINIK FOR THE DQ!!!

Post match, REIGNS HITS REY WITH A SPEAR!! Reigns tells Jimmy he embarrassed the family twice in one night and then Reigns kicks both Mysterio's ass by himself! He sends both Mysterios into the barricade. Reigns grabs the steps and nails Dominik with them. Rey gets hit with them as well. Reigns sends Rey flying over the barricade into LED land! Reigns beats the hell out of Dominik some more and throws him back in the ring. Reigns mounts Dominik and hits him with elbows. GUILLOTINE TO DOMINIK!! Jimmy tells Reigns that's enough and Reigns tosses a lifeless Dominik to the mat. Jimmy doesn't like business being done this way and leaves. Jey walks around the ring trying to decides if he's with Jimmy or Reigns. Reigns stands over Jey and tells him to stay by his side. REIGNS PICKS UP DOMINIK AND DESTROYS HIM WITH A HUGE POWER BOMB!! End Show.
