Smackdown 11/20/2020: Murphy vs. Rollins; Bryan vs. Uso; McIntyre/Reigns Contract Signing

Contract Signing: Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns make their Survivor Series match official
We're in the ThunderDome kicking off the last Smackdown before Survivor Series with the Street Profits backstage. They got popcorn and they're in the Champions Lounge. They hype Survivor Series and pay homage to the Undertaker. The lights flicker and it's Big E messing with them. Big E hypes up the New Day but the Profits claim they will win because that's all they do. Big E says the New Day are here tonight and he gives them their classic introduction. The New Day make their way to the ring. The New Day has mics and they say they were invited back (not sure by who) so why not show up and give Fox something to talk about. They talk about Survivor Series including the Profits and the Undertaker. They do the Undertaker's classic sit up and HERE COMES SAMI ZAYN!!! Zayn says Undertaker is calling it a final farewell to avoid Sami Zayn. Zayn owes him for a choke slam Taker gave him at MSG. Zayn talks about Bobby Lashley and how he will prove the Intercontinental Champion is better than the United States Champion. Zayn wants the New Day to stop talking about Taker and start talking about him. The New Day runs down Zayn and HERE COMES KING CORBIN!! Corbin doesn't even know why New Day since they had their farewell. I happen to agree. HERE COMES DOLPH ZIGGLER AND ROBERT ROODE!! Ziggler is cool with Corbin but he hates Sami for some reason. Ziggler confronts the New Day and says he and Roode should be tag champs. Roode claims they would win a match against them. Kofi offers them a match with a twist. All six men argue before Woods decides Corbin/Zayn vs. Ziggler/Roode with the winners getting a shot at the New Day. The New Day get attacked and HERE COMES THE STREET PROFITS!! Profits save the New Day and the four champs stand tall!!
Eight Man Tag Team Match
King Corbin, Sami Zayn (WWE Intercontinental Champion), Dolph Ziggler, & Robert Roode vs. The New Day (WWE Raw Tag Team Champions) & The Street Profits (WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions)
Ziggler starts with Ford. Ford uses his athleticism to get the upper hand and hit a nice drop kick. Dawkins tags in as they isolate Ziggler. Ziggler hits a drop kick on Dawkins and tags Roode who runs into a drop kick by Dawkins. Kofi tags in but Roode takes control. Kofi is able to hit a back elbow taking down Roode. Kofi stomps Roode in the champs corner before tagging Woods who continues the stomps. The New Day exchanges tags with each other multiple times and refuse to tag the Profits. Roode catches Woods with an elbow before tagging Corbin. Corbin beats on Woods in the heel corner but Woods comes back with chops. Woods monkey flips into a DEEP SIX BY CORBIN!! Near fall for Corbin. Corbin remains in control until Woods counters a choke slam and tags Ford. Ford picks up the pace and delivers a standing moonsault. The pin is broken up. KOFI COMES OFF THE TOP WITH A CROSS BODY BUT HITS FORD BY ACCIDENT AS WE GO TO A COMMERCIAL.
We're back and Ziggler is wearing down Ford. Ford fights back but is unable to make a tag. Corbin tags in. Ford battles back but Corbin sends him into a corner. Ford tries a cross body but Corbin catches and plants Ford. Ziggler tags back in. Ford tries to fight out of the heel corner. Ford catches Ziggler with an enziguri. Roode and Kofi tag in! Kofi runs wild on Roode. BOOM DROP TO ROODE! Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise by Roode avoids. Kofi counters the Glorious DDT. Woods tags himself in and plants Roode with a DDT!! 1...2...NO!! Woods stalks Roode but Dawkins tags himself back in. Roode plants Dawkins with a spine buster. Roode tags Zayn in who isn't happy about it. Dawkins brings him in the hard way! SPINE BUSTER BY DAWKINS!! FORD HITS ZAYN WITH THE CASH OUT SPLASH TO WIN @ 12:34!! The champions win and it was the right call. The New Day and Profits meet face to face after the match and both hold up their titles.
Commentary hypes what's to come on the rest of the show tonight.
Kayla Braxton is standing by with Daniel Bryan when an injured Sami Zayn comes walking by. Bryan is laughing at him. Zayn is mad about being disrespected. Zayn gets in Bryan's face and Bryan shoves him. Zayn says he doesn't forget anything and leaves. Bryan makes a remark to Kayla about social distancing.
AC/DC's "Shot in the Dark" is the official theme song for Survivor Series.
Kayla is with Daniel Bryan still. He acknowledges his new hair cut and they talk about how he got beat down by Jey Uso a few weeks ago. We see the highlights. We see live Daniel Bryan shaking his head while watching the footage. Kayla asks if Bryan is concerned about facing Uso again so soon. Bryan mentions Uso saying it wasn't personal and Bryan believes him. Bryan says Uso has a devil on his shoulder telling him what to do. Bryan says everyone has an angel and devil on each shoulder including him. Bryan says what he does to Uso won't be personal.
Adam Pearce is backstage talking to someone. Pearce says he is choosing the final member of Team Smackdown. This person has had lots of recent highs and lows. IT'S OTIS!! Chad Gable is here to congratulate Otis. NATALYA IS HERE TO COMPLAIN!! Pearce names BAYLEY TO TEAM SMACKDOWN!! Natalya can qualify in her match next!
Seth Rollins is backstage is address Murphy. Rollins says Murphy was a nobody when Murphy took him under his wing. Rollins claims he is responsible for everything positive about Murphy. Rollins claims Murphy only met Aalyah because of the greater good. What did Rollins get? Stabbed in the back and betrayed! Rollins will teach Murphy a final lesson and Murphy can go back to being nothing!
Survivor Series Qualifying Match
Tamina vs. Natalya
Bianca Belair and Bayley are on commentary. Natalya tries to attack early but has no luck. Tamina knocks Natalya out of the ring and follows her. Tamina sends Natalya into the steps. On commentary, Bayley claims to be captain as she argues with Bianca. In the ring, Tamina backs Natalya into the corner. The Riott Squad watches backstage. The wrestling in this match is terrible so the focus is on commentary. Natalya knocks down Tamina with a clothesline and LOCKS IN THE SHARPSHOOTER!!! TAMINA TAPS @ 1:45!! Bad match. Thankfully it was short. Natalya hugs Bayley after the match. All members of the women's Team Smackdown get in the ring. Bayley appears to be taking the captain role.
Commentary hypes McIntyre vs. Reigns. We see highlights of McIntyre beating Orton on Raw.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring for the contract signing which will take place after commercial.
Back from the break, McIntyre awaits Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Reigns makes McIntyre wait a bit before coming out along with Paul Heyman. Cole hypes this about who will be the top champion in the business. Adam Pearce is moderating this thing. Reigns steals Pearce's seat so he can sit at the "head of the table". Actually a nice touch. Pearce tells us he is just here to obtain signatures. Reigns says he knew McIntyre could beat Orton but Heyman not so much. Reigns calls McIntyre the right guy in the right place at the wrong time. McIntyre says he knows Reigns is trying to piss him off but McIntyre already has what he wants. McIntyre has done everything Reigns told him to do last week. McIntyre signs. McIntyre hands Reigns the contacts and says your move. McIntyre begs Reigns to underestimate him and enjoy two more days of peace as he prepares for war. Reigns is about to sign when he says McIntyre doesn't give him advice. Reigns says McIntyre will be taught one more lesson at Survivor Series. Reigns will prove McIntyre is a secondary title holder. Reigns says he is THE CHAMPION and THE HEAD OF THE TABLE. Reigns says McIntyre will be the man some day and the face of the company. When he does, he'll look back and thank him. McIntyre will love Reigns for the lessons Reigns teaches him. Reigns says McIntyre will always be his favorite #2!! Reigns signs. Great stuff here by both men!

Seth Rollins vs. Murphy w/ The Mysterio Family
Rollins knocks Murphy off the apron before we begin. Rollins wants the family out of here. Murphy charges and Rollins avoids him. Murphy tackles Rollins and they brawl. They go to the outside where Rollins sends Murphy into the barricade. Back in the ring, Rollins is in control. Rollins ties Murphy up in the top rope and grabs a kendo stick. Rey Tries to takes the kendo stick but Rollins decks him and throws him into the announce table. Dominik gets involved and Rollins sends him into the barricade. Murphy attacks Rollins. Murphy goes to the top turnbuckle but ROLLINS PUSHES HIM OFF AND MURPHY LANDS HARD ON THE OUTSIDE!! Aalyah checks on Murphy as we go to a commercial.
We're back and Rollins is beating down Murphy in the corner. Both men trade counters before Rollins hits Murphy with a sling blade. Near fall for Rollins. Rollins delivers punches to Murphy in the corner but Murphy hits Rollins with a kick. Rollins is sent outside. Murphy flips over the top to take out Rollins. Back in the ring, Murphy goes to the top and Rollins goes to meet him. ROLLINS SUPERPLEXES MURPHY AND FOLLOWS WITH A FALCON ARROW!! 1...2...NO!! Both men battle on the apron. Rollins tries a suplex but Murphy blocks. They trade punches. Murphy connects with a kick and a running knee! Murphy climbs back to the apron but ROLLINS STOMPS MURPHY THROUGH THE SECOND ROPE!! 1...2...Murphy gets a foot on the rope!! Rollins talks trash to Murphy. Rollins hits a buckle bomb on Murphy!! Rollins goes for another stomp but MURPHY CONNECTS WITH A KNEE!! ANOTHER KNEE!! MURPHY HITS MURPHY'S LAW ON ROLLINS!! 1...2...3 @ 11:09!! I'm not a big fan of this. It all felt rushed and I feel the ending was telegraphed the whole way. Hopefully this really is the end of this rivalry though. The Mysterios get in the ring to celebrate with Murphy and HERE COMES SASHA BANKS!! I guess she has something to say after the break. Murphy's celebration is cut short.
We're back with WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Sasha Banks in the ring as WWE Raw Women's Champions Asuka comes to the ring. Michael Cole is in the ring to moderate. Cole talks about their rivalry dating back to summer. Cole asks Banks if Asuka has her number? Banks says it's "Boss Time" and Asuka interrupts. Asuka has jokes and Banks says it won't be a joke when Banks makes Asuka tap out Sunday. Banks says they don't have to wait until Sunday. Cole bails. Banks claims to be the best of the best and Asuka says Banks isn't ready for Asuka. CARMELLA ATTACKS BANKS FROM BEHIND! Asuka watches on as Carmella kicks Banks' ass. Carmella hangs Banks in the tree of woe and delivers a superkick to her face!!
Backstage, Jey Uso is getting ready for the main event. Kayla Braxton comes and asks if Uso is allowed to talk. Uso has the green light to talk and green light to finish Daniel Bryan. Uso says everything he did to Bryan was his own decision. Uso is going to go finish it.
Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso
Both men trade punches right at the start! Uso gets the upper hand. Bryan fires back with some kicks and takes down Uso. Bryan is aggressive early. Uso turns the tide and gets the upper hand. Uso kicks Bryan out of the ring and follows. Uso sends Bryan into the steps. Uso clears the announce table. Bryan fires back and throws Uso back in the ring. Bryan hits a missile drop kick from the top. Bryan delivers kicks in the corner. Uso catches Bryan with a right hand but Bryan answers with an uppercut. Bryan back drops Uso to the outside. Suicide dive by Bryan takes out Uso on the outside. They brawl on the outside. BRYAN CHARGES BUT USO BACK DROPS BRYAN ONTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE AND IT COLLAPSES AS WE GO TO A COMMERCIAL.
Back from the break, Uso is beating down Bryan in the ring. Uso has been in control since Bryan went through the table. The crowd boos as Uso continues the beat down. Big slam by Uso followed by a kick to the gut of Bryan. Uso lights up Bryan in the corner with chops. Uso talks trash to Bryan. Back breaker by Uso and Bryan is down. Bryan rolls to the apron. Bryan blocks a punch and fights back! Bryan goes to the top but Uso cuts him off. USO SUPERPLEXES BRYAN!! 1...2...NO!! Uso goes for a Samoan drop but Bryan counters into a crucifix pin for a near fall. Bryan gets the Yes Lock in but Uso counters and attacks the back with knees. More boos from the crowd. Uso goes to the top but Bryan counters and racks Uso. Bryan goes up to the top with him. BRYAN WITH A SUPER BACK SUPLEX TO USO!!! YES KICKS BY BRYAN!!! 1...2...NO!!! Bryan grabs both of Uso's arms and delivers stomps to Uso's face!! Bryan sets up for the running knee but USO HITS A SUPER KICK!! ANOTHER KICK FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER!! USO GOES FOR THE USO SPLASH BUT BRYAN COUNTERS AND ROLLS UP USO FOR THE WIN @ 13:48!! Easily best match of the night. Bryan gets revenge and could be the next challenger for Reigns after Survivor Series.
