Our 3 Cents - Survivor Series 2021

Welcome to our second year of Our 3 Cents where myself, Jesse, and Lonnie give you our predictions on what's going to go down. It's time for WWE's fall classic and that means Survivor Series. That means it's all about brand supremacy even though we just had a draft and shook up the rosters a few weeks ago. Anyways, without further to do......

John: 46-8 (85%)

Jesse: 41-13 (76%)

Lonnie: 40-14 (74%)

Let's take a look at the card:

25 Man Battle Royal - Participants Include: Ricochet, T-Bar, Mansoor, Cesaro, Street Profits, Viking Raiders, R-Truth, Drew Gulak, AJ Styles, Omos, Sami Zayn, Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza, Apollo Crews, Commander Azeez, Otis, Chad Cable, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Jinder Mahal, & Shanky

Jesse: After seeing the picture with the participants I think I would want to pick either AJ Styles or Jinder Mahal. I don’t think AJ will pull it off since he is apart of a tag team at this point and WWE isn’t smart enough to give Jinder another big push towards the main event. That’s why I believe that a person who has been away a bit doing a thing with the “Stars” is going to come back and win this to remind people how AWESOME he is.

W: The Miz

Lonnie: This match was added last minute and we don’t even know who all will be in it.....But that does not matter! We all know they want people to get excited about this show and to tune in early (Pre Show). And what superstar brings the most eyes? Probably the former world champion who just landed a starring role on ABC’s Big Sky......the Modern Day Maharaja!!! Jinder Mahal!!! His victory here will prove decisive in helping Smackdown win the night.

W: Jinder Mahal

John: This is the catch all way to get everyone else on the card. Based on the participants listed, I could see Sami, Cesaro, Styles, or Omos winning it. Part of me is looking at the list of participants and wondering in my head who is going to the next people released. Hopefully we're done with that but who knows. Back to the battle royal, I really have no idea but I'll go with the big man Omos to chuck people out of the ring and give him a nice win and remind us how "dominate" he is.

W: Omos

Women's 5-on-5 Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match

Team Raw (Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley (WWE Women's Tag Team Champion), Liv Morgan, Carmella, & Zelina Vega) vs. Team Smackdown (Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Natalya, & Toni Storm)

Jesse: Once again I’m not thrilled with how these teams were put together. It should actually be a good match, but Smackdown seems to be having a lot of drama that will affect their chemistry during the match. I think just like the men’s match, they are setting up some one to be put into a title match in the future and that person is Bianca. Team Raw wins in a quick match.

W: Team Raw

Lonnie: I really do hate picking these matches. How am I supposed to know what WWE creative is thinking when they clearly don’t know what they are thinking as evidenced by them changing the participants. At the end of the day you have a Raw team with two championship level women (Bianca & Rhea), a Queen, a former champ (Carmella), and the next title contender (Liv). I think when you combine the need to keep Bianca and Liv strong and Zelina continuing her hot streak, the Raw women will pull this one off.

W: Team Raw

John: I miss the days where you had to actually qualify for these matches (that goes for the men's match too). Both teams have some ladies that can go and I'm optimistic about this. Much like the men's Raw team, I think the women's Smackdown team may implode. Sasha Banks historically doesn't get along with any partners. Don't believe men? Ask Corey Graves who says if you got a back, Banks has a knife to stab it. I think Team Raw takes this with Belair and Ripley surviving.

W: Team Raw

Men's 5-on-5 Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match

Team Raw (Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Austin Theory, & Bobby Lashley w/ MVP) vs. Team Smackdown (Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, King Woods, Sheamus, & Happy Corbin w/ Madcap Moss)

Jesse: Let me start out by saying I am not a fan of the teams being revealed on a random Sunday instead of being decided on their respective shows. With that out of the way, I have to say this might be one of the better Survivor Series teams in a long time. You really have something for everyone with every person in this match! I think it will come down to Drew facing two superstars from Raw and ending up getting the win to go on to face Roman in the future.

W: Team Smackdown

Lonnie: First off, Team Smackdown is a really good team. However… this team Raw is legit. Like… with Rollins, Balor, Owens, and Lashley it shouldn't matter who the last member is. Theory could just stand on the apron. Realistically unless Lashley gets counted out or DQ’d he will not be eliminated. Rollins is next in line for Big E and therefore should not be beaten either. I honestly feel like Team Raw is an easy pick. My only fear is that the Mysterios interfere and cost Lashley and therefore Team Raw. If they do, they should be suspended longer and fined more than Brock Lesnar.

W: Team Raw

John: On paper, I like Team Raw in a landslide. However, it's filled with guys who probably aren't going to get along. Rollins, Owens, and Balor have all bet going at each other in recent weeks. Lashley was a massive upgrade from Dominik but I could see the Mysterios getting involved and costing Lashley. On Team Smackdown, Corbin is the only true heel. Otherwise, they seem to be on the same page. I see McIntyre leading Team Blue to the win and setting himself up to challenge Reigns.

W: Team Smackdown

Champions vs. Champions Match

RK-Bro (WWE Raw Tag Team Champions) vs. The Usos (WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions)

Jesse: We are continuing the long slow burn of RK-Bro breaking up, which I am actually enjoying. Will it happen during this match? No I don’t think it will. I can see New Day coming out and being a distraction to the Uso’s and earing Riddle and Orton the victory, especially in a match where Orton breaks the record for most PPV matches in WWE history.

W: RK-Bro

Lonnie: If given time this could be really good. RK-Bro are obviously great performers and the Usos are one of the best tag teams in recent history. As far as a winner I’ll go with the Usos. You want both champions to look good, so a fluke finish would protect RK-Bro in defeat. To me is just makes sense to have RK-Bro have a miscommunication that causes them to lose as the Usos are clearly a more well oiled team. Also, it's late November and it may be time to start a slow build to an Orton/Riddle Mania match.

W: The Usos

John: Tough call here as I like both teams. With this match, Orton passes Kane for the most pay-per0view matches in history (177). I can see the New Day costing the Usos the win here so the Usos can afford to take a loss. RK-Bro still has some mileage left in the tank and I don't see them losing and/or splitting up until the first of the year.

W: RK-Bro

Champion vs. Champion Match

Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Intercontinental Champion) w/ Rick Boogs vs. Damian Priest (WWE United States Champion)

Jesse: Not going to lie, myself, John and Lonnie have had some in depth conversations about this match. How do we pick it? John said he drew names out of a hat, Lonnie said he flipped a coin, and I have finally decided I am going to randomly pick a video on YouTube and make my decision on that. Well turns out the video that I pick was Breaking the Law by Judas Priest, you are welcome for getting that song stuck in your head and my pick is Damien Priest wins the match of the night.

W: Damian Priest

Lonnie: I love both of these guys. Both are successful NXT call ups which is a very very rare thing these days. I would expect this to be one of the shorter matches. Honestly, after Raw has won 4 out of the last 5 years (NXT 2019) I think Smackdown will win this year. For that reason alone I am picking Nakamura.

W: Shinsuke Nakamura

John: This has tons of potential. I like both of these guys and think with some time, we could get something special. Priest has been a roll ever since coming to the main roster. Meanwhile, Nakamura has taken a pinfall loss recently in tag matches against Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza. I'm hoping for a good to great match but I think Priest gets the win.

W: Damian Priest

Champion vs. Champion Match

Becky Lynch (WWE Raw Women's Champion) vs. Charlotte Flair (WWE Smackdown Women's Champion)

Jesse: What a weird vibe this match has. Is all the drama for real, or is it just being put on for the match? I am worried that something is going to happen during this match that will go “viral” so that makes it very difficult to decide who is going to win. I think Charlotte is going to try something sneaky and get DQ’d so that this match doesn’t hurt either person’s reputation.

W: Becky Lynch

Lonnie: This could be really good or a total disaster. Honestly I hope it is a mess. With Andrade and Ric gone, I can only assume Charlotte and her unprofessional behavior will be following them in the near future. Let’s hope for no injuries to Becky and a Becky win. Neither woman really needs a win and a loss won’t hurt either, but I just can’t stand Charlotte.

W: Becky Lynch

John: This is the most interesting match to me on the card given all that's happened between them in recent weeks. Rumor is their personal friendship has been rocky for a while. The swapping of the championships was a disaster (not to mention a terrible idea to begin with). Depending on what you read and what dirt sheets you follow, it sounds like lots of people are not happy with Charlotte about how things went down and people are hoping they both parties can just be professional during this match. As for the match, I don't see a win or loss doing much for either person. My personal choice is Becky as I can't stand Charlotte these days. It wouldn't surprise me if we get a terrible finish and possible no decision.

W: Becky Lynch

Champion vs. Champion Match

Big E (WWE Champion) vs. Roman Reigns (WWE Universal Champion) w/ Paul Heyman

Jesse: I have mentioned it before but Roman is starting to get stale and I question what the payoff will be. Here is a perfect opportunity to throw a wrench in the Roman storyline with Big E taking another step into super stardom. Do I think WWE has the guts to make it happen? Sadly I don’t, it will be a good match but Roman wins in the end and continues his reign of terror.

W: Roman Reigns

Lonnie: With Kofi getting a moment to shine a few years ago and now Big E and Woods getting their moments, you have to be happy for the New Day. All three guys have been great for a decade or more and it's nice to see them get singles runs. That being said, WWE tends to always have one major champion who clearly is the top guy and the other title is a level below. We all should “acknowledge” that Roman is the top champion. I expect Big E to look good here, but I refuse to pick against Roman until he loses a PPV match.

W: Roman Reigns

John: I like this match up and love Big E getting a chance to be in the main event on a big stage. However, not one part of me believes that Big E is going to win this match. Reigns has been too hot for too long and Big E doesn't strike me as the one to get a pinfall (or submission) victory over Reigns. Whether via shenanigans, interferences, or what have you, Reigns will get the win and he continues the best work of his career.

W: Roman Reigns
