Our 3 Cents - NXT Vengeance Day 2023
Welcome to Our 3 Cents! It appears that NXT is going to make this a year event now and there's nothing wrong with that. This should be the last stop before Stand and Deliver during WrestleMania weekend. Without further to do......
John: 61-18 (77%)
Lonnie: 58-21 (73%)
Jesse: 48-31 (61%)
Let's take a look at the card:

2-out-of-3 Falls Match
Apollo Crews vs. Carmelo Hayes
Jesse: This feud has gone on for way too long, but this match will be a stepping stone for Hayes to move up to the NXT title scene where I see him beating Bron soon.
W: Carmelo Hayes
Lonnie: Hayes is part of the future of NXT/WWE and Crews is just collecting a paycheck until he enjoys future endeavors. Hopefully Hayes wins in two falls.
W: Carmelo Hayes
John: I feel like the winner of this match should be next in line for a NXT Championship match. Crews just had an opportunity and I feel like Hayes is over due for a shot. Ever since Hayes lost the North American Championship, I thought it was just a matter of time until he moved up the card. I think this should be a great match and will probably go three falls for sure but Hayes should get the win and challenge for the NXT Championship at Stand and Deliver.
W: Carmelo Hayes

NXT North American Championship Match
Wes Lee (champ) vs. Dijak
Jesse: It’s finally time for Dijak to do something. I don’t know what he can do if he loses this match. Cut the power to the building? Lets give Dijak a chance to reinvent himself, and if it doesn’t work out the he can drop the title back to Lee.
W: Dijak
Lonnie: I feel like they have done a good job building up Dijak for this match. One of the major things he has going for him is that he has “the look” WWE likes in their big guy champions. I am hopeful that this is a really good match that sees the end of the Wes side title reign.
W: Dijak
John: Dijak has been built up nicely since his return to NXT and Lee just hasn't impressed me as champion. A couple good defenses but that's it. I'm not sure where either man goes after that but I think it's time for a title change. Dijak for the win here.
W: Dijak

NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match
Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (champs) vs. Fallon Henley & Kiana James
Jesse: Champs retain, nothing more to write about that.
W: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
Lonnie: With Henley and James being a thrown together tag team I don’t see them winning. Chance and Carter retain here and I assume they will keep the titles for a long time.
W: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
John: Once Chance and Carter finally won the gold, they've had it on lock down ever since. I like the story of Henley and James but I don't see them as a threat to the titles. James could turn on Henley causing the loss. Which also prove Henley right for being skeptical to trust her in the first place. The champs should retain here.
W: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

Fatal Four Way Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship
Gallus vs. The New Day (champs) vs. Chase University vs. Pretty Deadly
Jesse: As much as I appreciate New Day being champs, this match seems weird. I think Pretty Deadly or Gallus have a shot at winning, but in the end New Days wins and then will lose during Wrestle Mania weekend. This way NXT will still have viewers since it has been pretty stale lately.
W: The New Day
Lonnie: I feel like the only reason New Day won these championships was just to add it to their resume. They didn’t even have the championships with them at the Rumble. They drop the championships here. I think it’s a toss up between Gallus and Pretty Deadly with Gallus picking up the win.
W: Gallus
John: I don't see the New Day staying in NXT long term so I think they need to drop the titles here. What better way than a fatal four way where they don't necessarily need to take the loss. Chase U is the nice underdog story but I don't see them winning. If Pretty Deadly was going to win, they should of never lost the gold in the first place. That leaves my pick Gallus. I think Gallus picks up the win here to further reestablish them since their recent return.
W: Gallus

Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women's Championship
Jacy Jayne vs. Roxanne Perez (champ) vs. Gigi Dolin
Jesse: I appreciate the thought of this match, but we know how it will turn out. Gigi and Jacy will act like they are on the same team then one will attempt a pin, the other will pull her off and they will fight, allowing for Roxanne (I sang that like the song) to get a win.
W: Roxanne Perez
Lonnie: I believe this match is ultimately going to set up a Jayne vs Dolin rivalry. They will team up on Roxanne early on in the match and then turn on each other when it comes time to get the fall. This will ultimately allow Perez to prevail.
W: Roxanne Perez
John: I really like Perez and was shocked she beat Mandy Rose so soon. Rose's firing immediately after made everything make sense. Although it may have been too soon, here we are and Perez is champ which is great. It makes sense for her first feud to be with the rest of Toxic Attraction since she dethroned Mandy. This should follow typical threat/handicap formula. Toxic will plan to work together but something will cause them to turn on each other at the end. They'll both want to be champion so they'll stop each other from winning and Perez will get the sneaky win. Perez should retain no doubt.
W: Roxanne Perez

Steel Cage Match for the NXT Championship
Bron Breakker (champ) vs. Grayson Waller
Jesse: Bron Breakker ain’t about to lose to weak ass Grayson Waller in a steel cage match in Charlotte, North Carolina.
W: Bron Breakker
Lonnie: The cage makes sense based on how their previous match ended, however Breakker is still going to win. Breakker is going to remain champion until Mania when he gets called up.
W: Bron Breakker
John: Their last match was actually pretty good until the finish. In hindsight, the finish was used to get us to this match. Breakker has been on a roll and I'm actually a fan of Waller's work as well. He reminds me of The Miz. I think he'll be champ one day but not now. Breakker should retain here and face Hayes at Stand and Deliver.
W: Bron Breakker
