Our 3 Cents - NXT In Your House 2022

Welcome to the first NXT event of year three of Our 3 Cents where myself, Jesse, and Lonnie give you our predictions on what's going to go down. We have all of NXT's championships on the line so without further to do......

Lonnie: 6-0 (100%)

John: 5-1 (83%)

Jesse: 3-3 (50%)

Let's take a look at the card:

Six Man Tag Team Match - Losers must join Winners Stable

Legado del Fantasma vs. Tony D'Angelo, Stacks, & Two Dimes

Jesse: Legado del Fantasma seems like have been around forever, but never get a big push to be the main faction in NXT. This is their chance as I see them winning and taking over the hole left from Undisputed Era.

W: Legado del Fantasma

Lonnie: This is the only non title match on the card. Maybe the main roster could learn something from this and actually have more of their championships defended at Premium Live Events. Who wins here really just depends on what WWE has planned next for each team and I struggle to guess what WWE will do. (They aren’t always logical). To me, it makes more sense for D’Angelo’s team to win. Legado del Fantasma have been established on NXT for years and I’m not sure how much there is left for them to do on NXT. D’Angelo’s team would therefore benefit more from a victory.

W: Tony D'Angelo, Stacks, & Two Dimes

John: This is a tough one for me. It appears as though this feud has made Legado into the babyfaces. The last heel faction vs. heel faction feud for Legado wasn't that great (Hit Row). With Legado seemly being more face of the two groups, these kinds of stipulations normally work out best for the heel or in this case "more heel" group picking up the win. On top of that, NXT higher-ups obviously see something they like in D'Angelo. If not, he wouldn't of beaten Ciampa. With all that said, I think "The Don" of NXT finds a way to win for his team.

W: Tony D'Angelo, Stacks, & Two Dimes

NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match

Toxic Attraction (champs) vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

Jesse: I’m not going to lie, I don’t like the name change for Katana Chance. It sounds like a character of that show that played after Raw back in the day. This match has the ability to be a snooze fest or mediocre at best. It’s time for Toxic Attraction to lose the titles, and I think now will be the time.

W: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

Lonnie: How long can Toxic Attraction continue to hold all the gold? I have a feeling that time is coming to an end. As I say below, I believe Mandy will retain but I believe it makes sense for Toxic Attraction to lose the tag titles. This would allow Mandy to continue to anchor the division while spicing things up a little bit which is needed. Chance & Carter become champs here and we get to see how Toxic Attraction reacts to the set back in the coming weeks.

W: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

John: TA's run has been a long one minus that week where they lost the titles to Raquel and Dakota. I like the fact that they're being challenged by a legit team (team that's been together for a while) instead of a team thrown together last minute. That's more than I can say for most women's tag team championship matches. Katana and Kayden have come close before but never won the gold. I think they finally get their moment tonight. I mean if they don't put TA, then who's going to? I say new tags and start the downfall for TA.

W: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Pretty Deadly (champs) vs. The Creed Brothers

Jesse: Pretty Deadly have me very intrigued as the best tag team in NXT. They got thrown in as tag champs, but so far they have delivered and I have enjoyed them. They aren’t about to drop the titles this soon, so they win in a match of the night candidate.

W: Pretty Deadly

Lonnie: The Creed Brothers got a moment to shine in the gauntlet match before falling just short. In theory they should be able to take Pretty Deadly now that they haven’t endured other matches first. But that will not be the case. With Pretty Deadly being the new team in NXT they need to keep the championships for at least a few months to establish themselves.

W: Pretty Deadly

John: As a fan of both teams, I'm looking forward to this one. The Creed Brothers have shown they're still a little green at times. With Roderick Strong threatening to kick them out of Diamond Mine, that does add some intrigued to this match. However, I don't think it changes the outcome. Pretty Deadly seems like the best choice and we start to see Diamond Mine fall apart.

W: Pretty Deadly

NXT North American Championship Match

Cameron Grimes (champ) vs. Carmelo Hayes

Jesse: Cameron Grimes can deliver in everything he does. If Bron wasn’t such a dominating champ, I’d say Cameron should get his shot to run with the main title. But that is not likely to happen anytime soon, so I will take him turning the NA Title to pure gold. He’s going to retain with what I’m picking as match of the night.

W: Cameron Grimes

Lonnie: I fully expect this to be the match of the night. Both of these guys can go and NXT tends to give matches plenty of time. While this could go either way, I do feel Grimes will retain. He has told Sikoa he would get the next title shot if he retains and I believe it will eventually be Sikoa who takes the championship from Grimes.

W: Cameron Grimes

John: Match of the night right here. I really like both guys and would be happy with a victory from either. Grimes just got the title not too long ago so I find it hard to see him losing it so soon. Plus, he has a match ready to go with Solo Sikoa. As for Hayes, I'd love to see him elevated up the chair for a future NXT Championship match. The guy is that good! Grimes keeps the gold for now.

W: Cameron Grimes

NXT Women's Championship Match

Mandy Rose (champ) vs. Wendy Choo

Jesse: Mandy’s reign needs to end soon, but sadly I don’t see it happening here. Mandy retains, but will lose the title soon.

W: Mandy Rose

Lonnie: Choo has definitely gotten the upper hand on Mandy as of late, but is that enough to signal the end of Mandy’s reign as champion. I don’t think so. I would have never guessed it before her return to NXT, but Mandy has been a very good champion and has put on better matches than I originally expected from her. I feel the NXT women's division is in a holding pattern right now which will continue.

W: Mandy Rose

John: Rose has put a respectable run together as champion and has exceeded what I thought her championship reign would be. With that said, I think her days are numbered. I can't say I'm a big fan of Choo's gimmick or character. Maybe that's just me. I don't see her being the one to end Rose's reign. I do believe Rose's reign is coming to and end but not tonight.

W: Mandy Rose

NXT Championship Match

Bron Breakker (champ) vs. Joe Gacy

Jesse: I’m going to say it, Joe Gacy kind of creeps me out which means he’s doing a great job. Too bad he is facing an immovable object in Bronn Breakker. This will be a back and forth contest, but Bronn retains.

W: Bron Breakker

Lonnie: Having a championship match where the champion can lose the belt always gives the challenger a chance. I’m sure after we see Breakker almost get DQ’d he will pick up the victory here. He already had one short reign before losing to Dolph and I don’t see that happening again. Bron is the future of WWE and should continue his roll here.

W: Bron Breakker

John: I'm sorry but I just don't buy Gacy as a legit challenger for Breakker. Sorry not sorry. Which is why I'll keep this short and sweet. Breakker is going to retain and carry NXT throughout the summer. NXT needs to elevate some heels or Breakker will quickly run out of legit challengers.

W: Bron Breakker

That does it for this edition of Our 3 Cents!! Check back for a full review of the event to see how we did!
