Welcome to Our 3 Cents! It's the last big NXT event of the year and we're debuting a new match concept. It feels as though it could be great but could also be a cluster mess. Without further to do......

Let's take a look at the card:
Alba Fyre vs. Isla Dawn
Jesse: This match is kind of weird to be on this Premium Event since it feels like a feud that should be kept on TV. Fyre doesn’t need to win this since she was just in the title picture, and this would be a good stepping stone for Dawn.
W: Isla Dawn
Lonnie: Because this is Dawn’s first big match I expect her to win. I expect she will use her mist to pick up the victory which will then lead to Fyre getting another match with Dawn.
W: Isla Dawn
John: Alba Fyre has gotten the raw end of the deal for a while now. She got screwed over at every turn in her feud against Mandy and now that has lead us to this match. Since it's Dawn's first big match in NXT since arriving, I can't see her taking a loss. As much as I'd like to see Fyre get the win, I just don't see it happening. Dawn gets the win and the feud continues into the new year.
W: Isla Dawn
NXT Tag Team Championship Match
Pretty Deadly (champs) vs. The New Day
Jesse: It’s kind of cool the new day are having a match on NXT, but it would have been a lot better if there was a little more build to the match. This will be more than likely match of the night and I see Pretty Deadly coming out on top, NXT 2.0 doesn’t seem like the kind of place where main roster talent should have a title......cough cough Mandy Rose.
W: Pretty Deadly
Lonnie: This is a huge match for Pretty Deadly as the New Day are one of the greatest tag teams in history. I believe Pretty Deadly should retain here. While losing to the New Day is not hurtful to them I just believe it doesn’t help NXT. NXT needs to build new stars. The only reason New Day could win is so that they can add it to their HOF resume. I do think New Day being in NXT does show that WWE is not sure what to do with them since the Usos have the titles on lock down.
W: Pretty Deadly
John: There is absolutely no reason why Pretty Deadly should lose here. Even if the New Day plan to be around NXT long term, I still don't think they should win. They should merely be here to make Pretty Deadly look like a million bucks. I think all four men will deliver a good match but the champs should retain.

Women's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine #1 Contender for the NXT Women's Championship
Indi Hartwell vs. Kiana James vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade vs. Zoey Stark
Jesse: I really want Indi Hartwell to win this match. For everything she has done in NXT she deserves to actually win a few big matches and possibly dethrone Mandy Rose. But sadly I don’t see it happening since it is time for her to move up to the main roster to join her husband Dexter Lumis. Roxanne Perez wins and will soon dethrone Mandy.
W: Roxanne Perez
Lonnie: I think the Iron Survivor concept is pretty cool on paper. I’m just not sure how it plays out in reality. If you start the match you get 25 minutes to accumulate victories. However, you will be weaker in the match and for sure take some falls. If you enter last you are fresh but only get 10 minutes to score. So is it better to start or come in late? We will see. As far as the women specifically, Perez or Hartwell should win as the winner will be facing a heel Mandy Rose. Personally I think the best use of Indi is on the main roster with Dexter so Perez will win here and hopefully end Mandy’s long reign.
W: Roxanne Perez
John: I feel as though these matches can be really good and fun or they will be a complete disaster. I'm trying to remain optimistic because they're trying to give us something new and innovative. As for this match, I believe a babyface needs to win and be Mandy's next challenger. Of those in the field, the obvious choice is Roxanne Perez. She's the lovable underdog and management appears to be behind her and was also happy with her work on Smackdown. I think she gets the big win and goes on to face Mandy.

Men's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine #1 Contender for the NXT Championship
Joe Gacy vs. JD McDonagh vs. Axiom vs. Grayson Waller vs. Carmelo Hayes
Jesse: This match and the tag match will battle for match of the night honors. This actually has some big names that can put on a show and I wouldn’t mind any of them winning except that SOB Grayson Waller. Like the women’s match, this match is set up to push someone who will eventually dethrone the champ and I think that person is Carmelo Hayes. He has the it factor and I can see him beating Bron.
W: Carmelo Hayes
Lonnie: McDonagh and Gacy have had their shot at Breakker and have failed to become champion. I just don’t think Axiom has a shot. That leaves Hayes and Waller as my two options for victory. I think Hayes is the next NXT Champion. I just don’t think they will pull the trigger on having him win for another 3-4 months. That means the next challenger should be Grayson Waller. I expect him to be behind by 1 fall and to pin whoever is ahead of him. That 2 fall swing will make him the winner just as time expires.
W: Grayson Waller
John: I like this field better than that of the women's but I still worry if that match will be a cluster. I'm not trying to hate on the guy but I would be happy to see anyone except Joey Gacy win. He has a different character which sets him apart but I can't get into his ring work. I didn't enjoy his previous match with Breakker and have no desire to see it again. We need a great heel to face Breakker and I think Hayes is the guy. He's ready for the next level. I even think he's ready for Raw or Smackdown but I this is another stepping stone. Of the participants he's most ready to take that next step. I'd look for Waller to be a long dark horse but I'm going with the "A Champ".
W: Carmelo Hayes
NXT Championship Match
Bron Breakker (champ) vs. Apollo Crews
Jesse: This match is simple. Bron retains.
W: Bron Breakker
Lonnie: I just believe there is no chance in hell Breakker loses to Crews. Crews’ athleticism should lead to a good match, but Breakker will retain his championship. He is not going to lose until he faces another up and coming NXT star near Wrestlemania so that Breakker can then move up to the main roster.
W: Bron Breakker
John: I like Apollo but I don't view him as a serious threat to Breakker. These two should be able to put on a hard hitting, smash mouth match but I think Breakker is going through the motions until he gets his next big challenger. Sorry Apollo but Bron should take this one no problem.
