Our 3 Cents - Extreme Rules 2021

Welcome to our second year of Our 3 Cents where myself, Jesse, and Lonnie give you our predictions on what's going to go down. It's the one night of the year when the WWE supposedly goes extreme. However, there's only one match with a stipulation. Anyways, without further to do......

John: 32-6 (84%)

Jesse: 29-9 (76%)

Lonnie: 27-11 (71%)

Let's take a look at the card:

Liv Morgan vs. Carmella

Jesse: Only thing I need to do to pick this match is to quote Cameron Grimes…. “Liv Morgan to the MOON”.

W: Liv Morgan

Lonnie: I think everyone is over Carmella by this point. Also, the fans are clearly behind Liv and if they ever want to have someone new to challenge for the title they should start building Liv up now.

W: Liv Morgan

John: The crowds have been firmly behind Liv Morgan and I think one could argue that she should of won Money in the Bank this year. That obviously didn't happen. If she doesn't win something soon or continue building momentum, the crowd will lose interest. Carmella has taken countless losses and one more here isn't going to matter. Liv must win here and I believe she will.

W: Liv Morgan

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match

The Street Profits vs. The Usos (champs)

Jesse: I am going to start out and say I feel bad for the Street Profits because they are being sucked into the vacuum known as Hurricane Roman Reigns and they don’t deserve it. Smackdown really needs to distance itself because the Bloodline is getting stale. The Uso’s are going to win, but in the long scheme they really shouldn’t.

W: The Usos

Lonnie: They have teased the Profits getting close to winning the titles twice now. While I do appreciate WWE making them legit contenders I really just don’t see the Usos losing the titles. The only way it would make sense is if Roman were to lose as well and the whole Bloodline lose their titles. Hopefully this time the Usos actually win clean as a third screwy finish in a row is too much.

W: The Usos

John: These four guys can all go in the ring and there's no reason to think they won't have a great match. With that said, I don't see the Usos losing as long as the Bloodline is dominating WWE. They've showed no signs of slowing down so I have no reason to think it's time for them to lose the titles. It's unfortunate for the Street Profits but I think they're just a victim of the circumstances.

W: The Usos

Triple Threat Match for the WWE United States Championship

Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus vs. Damian Priest (champ)

Jesse: I have mentioned it multiple times, but Damian Priest has exceeded my expectations. From helping me have the first perfect night in 3 Cents history, to that amazing triple threat on Raw vs. Sheamus and Drew, he has actually delivered as US Champ and I am proud of him. I don’t see him dropping the title in this match, but it could be match of the night, so don’t miss it.

W: Damian Priest

Lonnie: I see they decided having Jeff Hardy be a 24/7 jobber was a bad idea. Haha. In all seriousness they should be a great match. With the contrasting styles of Hardy and Sheamus, Priest should be able to work off each guy differently to look good. I fully expect Priest to win and keep his nice reign rolling. I assume Hardy will take the fall and Priest and Sheamus will then have their own match to follow soon.

W: Damian Priest

John: This could be a nice sleeper match as all of these guys should be able to deliver in this match. Priest has been great this year since coming to the main roster and the higher ups are obviously pleased with him as he keeps having high profile matches. I don't see Priest losing the championship here as the reigns still has lots of mileage left. Give them 15-20 minutes and we should get something great here. Priest wins in the end and Hardy will probably take the fall.

W: Damian Priest

WWE Raw Women's Championship Match

Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte Flair (champ)

Jesse: Dear lord I have no idea what is going on with this feud. With that being said, as someone who is from Columbus, I say screw it and I am picking Alexa to actually pull off the upset and become Raw Women’s Champion again in front of the home crowd.

W: Alexa Bliss

Lonnie: Charlotte always seems to lose her championships very quickly so that she can try to add another reign to catch her dad which means Alexa has a real shot to win. Also, at a certain point I feel they need to pull the trigger and let Alexa be the champ with this character or else they need to have this character come to an end. I also think that if Charlotte wins there is no one left on Raw that could credibly challenge Charlotte. Obviously the draft coming up soon could change all that. Based on the above reasons and just my personal dislike of Charlotte’s character I’m going to pick Alexa to become champion in her hometown.

W: Alexa Bliss

John: If I've said it before, I've said it a thousand times. I'm tired of Charlotte Flair championship reigns. However, I'm close to accepting the fact that it is what it is and will probably never change. As much as I'd like Bliss to win in her hometown and become champion, that would just mean another Charlotte reign in a month or so. Therefore, Charlotte might as well keep the title to avoid racking up pointless reigns that no one cares about because I'm fully convinced Charlotte is incapable of having a non-title feud.

W: Charlotte Flair

WWE Smackdown Women's Championship Match

Bianca Belair (champ) vs. Sasha Banks

Jesse: Let me first mention that the Becky comeback was a crock of shit. How do you bring the best babyface in the world back from maternity leave and have her turn heel? It has failure written all over it just like when Austin tried it back in the day. But WWE won’t see that for a few more months, so Becky retains here, but I don’t see her holding the title for much longer.

W: Becky Lynch

Lonnie: After Belair’s quick Summerslam loss, we can assume this is where we will get a legit match. I can only hope they let Belair shine here to make up for doing her dirty last month. That being said, it is way too soon after Becky’s return for her to lose the championship. I think a second Belair loss in a row would really hurt her. My solution to this is to have Becky get disqualified. This would help WWE in their attempt to make Becky a heel and would prevent Bianca from taking a second straight loss.

W: Bianca Belair

John: Becky's return at SummerSlam was a great moment that was quickly surrounded by controversy. Most people feel that Belair's run was abruptly cut short in favor of the returning Lynch. While I don't think Belair had the greatest championship run, it was rocky due to injury. Her feud with Bayley was cut short because of injury and so was her feud with Sasha Banks. I'm not sold on this heel turn for Lynch and think Belair would of been the better choice for it. Nonetheless, I can't see Lynch losing the title so soon but I'm not sure where Belair goes after a loss unless she's set to go to Raw via the draft. At the end of the day, Lynch retaining seems like the best bet via nefarious means to attempt to cement a heel turn.

W: Becky Lynch

Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Universal Championship

"The Demon" Finn Balor vs. Roman Reigns (champ) w/ Paul Heyman

Jesse: This match feels weird. Do I see Roman losing? Hell no. But do I give The Demon as shot at winning? Hell yes!!! Sadly, I don’t see WWE being brave enough to have Finn Balor become champ at this point in time, which is a shame because Roman’s reign is getting stale. Hopefully it is a good match and doesn’t have a screwy ending, but I don’t have my hopes up which leads me to believe Roman wins clean.

W: Roman Reigns

Lonnie: First I have to vent about something. Roman is great!! I get it! However, having him in storylines with Big E, New Day, sort of Lashley, Balor, and Brock all at the same time is too much. I realize he is the best thing they have going and he is money in the ring and on the mic but I don’t want him involved in everything. Ultimately WWE put themselves in a bad spot booking this match. Either 1. Roman beats Finn and you ruin the Demon. 2. Finn wins and then Roman vs. Lesnar is not for the championship. I really don’t like either option here. I assume Roman will win to have a big title match with Lesnar in Saudi. To Protect the Demon the Usos and Lesnar should both get involved here to prevent a clean loss.

W: Roman Reigns

John: With every fiber of my being, I want The Demon to win this. I just don't have faith in WWE to pull the trigger on him. Especially in the midst of what is the greatest run of Roman Reigns career. Add in the fact that Reigns vs. Lesnar has already been announced and I think that almost guarantees a Reigns win. I suppose there's always an outside chance Balor wins to set up two big matches for Saudi. I unfortunately don't see it happening. The Demon has been simply brought back to make Reigns even stronger than he already is prior to facing Lesnar.

W: Roman Reigns
