Our 3 Cents - Elimination Chamber 2022

Welcome to our second year of Our 3 Cents where myself, Jesse, and Lonnie give you our predictions on what's going to go down. This is the final stop before we get to WrestleMania! How will things shake up? Without further to do......
John: 64-15 (81%)
Jesse: 57-22 (72%)
Lonnie: 57-22 (72%)
Let's take a look at the card:

Falls Count Anywhere Match
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss
Jesse: Kind of wish this was McIntyre vs. Corbin, but I guess we can’t get that lucky. This should be a short match and I don’t see a way that McIntyre doesn’t win.
W: Drew McIntyre
Lonnie: Drew truly deserves better. I understand with Roman/Brock going for the championship that Drew is not always going to be in the title picture. But the man truly deserves to be doing something better than wasting his time with Madcap and Corbin during WrestleMania season. I really hope he just destroys Madcap here and can move on to someone better (meaning not Corbin) for WrestleMania.
W: Drew McIntyre
John: Poor McIntyre. How the hell did he get stuck in a feud with Moss/Corbin for WrestleMania season. McIntyre should no doubt win this on his way to unfortunately facing Corbin at Mania. I would expect McIntyre to win there as well before moving back into the title picture.
W: Drew McIntyre

Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz
Jesse: Kind of an underrated match on this card, I think this match might actually deliver. I am very happy that this isn’t Dominick vs Miz, because I am getting sick and tired of him being force fed down our throat. I do have a bad feeling this might lead to a match at Mania, but maybe it will be a triple threat if Rey finally turns on his son…which probably won’t happen since Rey is on the cover of 2K22 and they don’t want him turning heel. Miz wins in a decent match.
W: The Miz
Lonnie: I can’t stand Rey. So I’m picking the Miz. Plain and simple.
W: The Miz
John: The Miz has been great against the Mysterios. His promo asking Dominik if he was Eddie's son was pure gold. For that reason alone, I'm picking Miz here. I do think we get a Mysterio turn soon though so we get Rey vs. Dominik at Mania.
W: The Miz

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (champs) vs. The Viking Raiders
Jesse: Can’t believe Viking Warriors (or whatever they are called) are still around and have survived all the “budget cuts”. But hey, here they are on a show that is making WWE billions of dollars. They are going to win, but atleast they are getting their pay day and being sent back to catering.
W: The Usos
Lonnie: At this point the Usos matches are truly like picking Roman matches. Just keep picking them until they lose. I see no reason they shouldn’t be the champs heading into Mania. I really do like the Viking Raiders and would not mind them being champs, but I just don’t see how it would benefit WWE storyline wise to make them the champs.
W: The Usos
John: As long as the Bloodline is running the show, I expect the Usos to keep the gold. Guess what?! Last I checked, the Bloodline is still running things so the champs will be retaining. No disrespect to the Raiders.
W: The Usos

Ronda Rousey will have one arm tied behind her back
Naomi & Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair (WWE Smackdown Women's Champion) & Sonya Deville
Jesse: Let me tell you how excited I am for the Ronda/Charlotte feud, I would rather take a punch from Brock Lesnar than watch another one of their matches. Ronda is stiff on the mic and in the ring, Charlotte has some weird vibe around her recently, and to top it off they add Naomi and Sonya to the mix. That wasn’t a knock-on Sonya because I have enjoyed what she has done the last year, but she shouldn’t be part of this. Ronda and Naomi win to set up the next month of nauseating back and forth between Charlotte and Ronda *insert eye roll emoji*.
W: Naomi & Ronda Rousey
Lonnie: I am not a fan of this match as each of these singles feuds were fine on their own and didn’t need to be combined. The clear reason to do a tag match is so that they can tease Ronda and Charlotte fighting without them really getting much action against each other. Also, the tag format will prevent either from taking the fall. For the sole reason that I do not think they would have Ronda lose this soon into her comeback I think she will get the fall over Sonya.
W: Naomi & Ronda Rousey
John: For starters, we know either Naomi or Sonya is taking the loss here. Secondly, the crappy stipulation does give a cop out reason for Rousey to take a loss here but I can't see that happening. Rousey finds a way to make Sonya tap out. It wouldn't surprise me if Charlotte left Sonya high and dry when the going gets tough.
W: Naomi & Ronda Rousey

WWE Raw Women's Championship Match
Becky Lynch (champ) vs. Lita
Jesse: You know, Lita might not be the best on the mic and she has some ring rust, but I am liking this feud. It gets Becky some sound bites, as well as brings back some nostalgia with Lita. This match won’t be anything to write home about, but it will be nice to see if these 2 have chemistry in the ring. Becky wins and moves on to Mania.
W: Becky Lynch
Lonnie: We can officially add Lita to the list of legends that just couldn’t say no to a nice Saudi paycheck. It is obvious that Becky is going to be the champ going into Mania and this match is just a formality.
W: Becky Lynch
John: No chance in hell that Becky drops the title heading into Mania. Lita will get a nice pop for nostalgia but that's where her run stops. Hopefully it's a good match but the winner is a lock.
W: Becky Lynch

WWE Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns (champ) vs. Goldberg
Jesse: This prediction will take you longer to read than the match will. I grew up loving Goldberg, now I’m older and hate when he shows up. I think I would be fine if every time he shows up it wasn’t him challenging for a title. Let’s hope and pray he doesn’t injure Roman.
W: Roman Reigns
Lonnie: I am so happy to see Goldberg in another championship match!!! Yay!!!! But seriously I am happy to see him have a match for the sole reason that I believe his contract is up after this match and I hopefully won’t have to see him wrestle again. We all know Roman is winning here. Lets just hope it is a short dominant victory.
W: Roman Reigns
John: Listen to this. Not if but WHEN Reigns defeats Goldberg, he will have beaten/retained the title against every former Universal Champion. The Fiend, Strowman, Owens, Lesnar, Balor, Rollins, and now Goldberg. That's crazy! It's also probably never going to happen again. Hopefully this a short squash. As Reigns said, hopefully he "Goldbergs" Goldberg!
W: Roman Reigns

#1 Contenders Elimination Chamber Match - Winner faces WWE Raw Women's Champion at WrestleMania
Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Doudrop vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki A.S.H.
Jesse: I really hope this match isn’t as predictable as it seems it is. I’ll start out by saying I’m picking Bianca to win, but the women in this match may actually make it enjoyable. I mean you have the crown jewel of the WWE woman’s division in Alexa Bliss coming back for this match so it is must see TV. It will come down to Rhea and Bianca just like on Raw and with the same outcome.
W: Bianca Belair
Lonnie: I would love to see Liv or Alexa win here but I don’t think it will happen. If they were going to pull the trigger with Liv it would have been a few months ago. With Alexa, WWE has a great wrestler and gimmick, but just like with Bray Wyatt, I just don’t think they are smart enough to pull off the character especially since they can’t do the supernatural things they did in the ThunderDome. With those two out, I feel the right choice to fight Becky at WrestleMania is Bianca. Ever since Summerslam, I have felt Bianca deserves to get a legit shot to get her championship back and there is no better place than WrestleMania.
W: Bianca Belair
John: I'd love to see Ripley or Bliss get the win but I don't see it happening. Ripley had a hell of a run in the gauntlet but no one cared because she hadn't done anything relevant for months before. No way Nikki or Doudrop win this. Liv had her chance and since she didn't get the job done at Day 1, it's not happening here. That leaves Bliss and Belair. I'm still unsure where they're heading with Bliss' character so the safe bet is on Belair who is entering the match last (I hate that the reveal that beforehand). Belair goes to Mania to attempt to avenge her loss to Lynch at SummerSlam.
W: Bianca Belair

Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship
Austin Theory vs. AJ Styles vs. Bobby Lashley (champ) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. Riddle
Jesse: As much as I want this match to be great, we all know the outcome. There is no way Brock doesn’t come away with the win in this match. Any thing else will make Brock look weak heading to the main event of Mania, and himself and WWE won’t want that. The more interesting storyline that may pop up, is could Cody make his debut and replace Theory in this match? I am sure WWE wants storylines and that would be a big one.
W: Brock Lesnar
Lonnie: I predicted Roman would screw Brock last month and I was right. With this match being inside the Elimination Chamber, I don’t see a reasonable way that Roman can screw him again. If Roman doesn’t screw Brock, how would he be pinned? I just do not see it happening. Also, If someone else besides Brock wins here they would then have to start putting together a WrestleMania worthy title storyline in just a few weeks. Based on all that, I believe Brock will win here to set up a title vs. title match at Mania even though I am not a big fan of the idea.
W: Brock Lesnar
John: The talent of this line up is one of the best I've seen in a chamber match in quite some time. However, being talented doesn't necessarily mean you have a chance to win this match. Theory has no shot and I don't see Styles winning since he hasn't been near the main event scene in what feels like forever. I would absolutely love to see Riddle win this only to have Orton turn on him to set up a title match at Mania. I just don't think WWE has the guts to pull the trigger. Even if they had Riddle make the heel turn, it would be awesome. It's a shame but I can't see Rollins winning after he put in a stellar match with Reigns at the Rumble only to get screwed with no follow up. That leaves Lashley and Lesnar. Lesnar was obviously screwed at the Rumble but I don't see how that can happen again. I guess it's possible Reigns could get in the chamber again but that would be shitty to have Reigns costs Lesnar two straight matches. Also, I have can't see who Lashley would face at Mania as champion or without the title for that matter. As much as I don't want it, I think Lesnar wins his first ever chamber match and we get champion vs. champion at Mania.
W: Brock Lesnar
