Our 3 Cents - Crown Jewel 2021

Updated: Nov 20, 2021

-Welcome to our second year of Our 3 Cents where myself, Jesse, and Lonnie give you our predictions on what's going to go down. The WWE is going back to Saudi for the first time in about 18 months. On paper, this is one of the more impressive cards for a Saudi show. Without further to do......

John: 37-7 (84%)

Jesse: 33-11 (75%)

Lonnie: 32-12 (73%)

Let's take a look at the card:

The Uso's (WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions) vs. The Hurt Business (Kickoff Show)

Jesse: This match seems added at the last minute just to prove that the Bloodline can dominate and make Roman look good before he loses to Brock. Uso’s win in a decent match.

W: The Usos

Lonnie: This should be a nice opener for the crowd as all four guys are solid. I expect a clean win for the Usos here as they are the best tag team WWE has going right now.

W: The Usos

John: This is honestly just a way to get the Usos on the card. Even with the titles not being on the line, I don't think the Hurt Business has a shot. This is to remind us the Usos are are in Saudi as I'm sure they'll make an appearance in the main event.

W: The Usos

Mansoor vs. Mustafa Ali

Jesse: We hear a lot about the money that entertainers get from this show, so I want to say that I am very proud that Ali donates all of his to charity. Mansoor is a superstar at this event and he is not going to lose.

W: Mansoor

Lonnie: We know Mansoor is winning here as he is the Saudi fan favorite. I’m glad they paired him with Ali as it should make for a good match. I really don’t mind them having a Mansoor match every year as it will be quick and provides a break between the bigger matches.

W: Mansoor

John: Mansoor's track record in Saudi is amazing and this is a good way to get him on the card. He and Ali should have a nice match if given some time. In the end, Mansoor should get the win in his hometown. Maybe they'll embrace afterward and remain a team because Raw could still use them as a tag team.

W: Mansoor

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship Match

AJ Styles & Omos vs. RK-Bro (champs)

Jesse: I have said it before and I’ll say it again, ¾ of these guys should be singles guys. Why Orton, Riddle and Styles are all apart of the tag team scene when Raw is struggling is beyond me. I see Orton and Riddle retaining, but hopefully something happens during the match that starts a rift between the 2 and we get a blow off feud sooner rather than later and they drop the titles.

W: RK-Bro

Lonnie: Regardless of who wins, the tag title picture needs to move on to a new rivalry. The matches have been good but not something I want to keep seeing. At the end of the day Omos bores me and RK-Bro is not only more entertaining, but they have more potential storylines. Let’s hope Styles wrestles most of this match for his team.

W: RK-Bro

John: I like all these guys and even Omos has played his role well. I admit though that I'm ready for this feud to be over. I think it's best for the champs to retain for now and Styles needs to moves back up the card and into the WWE Championship picture.

W: RK-Bro

No Holds Barred Match

Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley

Jesse: My pick will probably take you longer to read than this match will last. There are no titles on the line so Goldberg is going to win, just pray he doesn’t hurt Lashley in the process.

W: Goldberg

Lonnie: I’m not sure I like this being No Holds Barred. Goldberg is not a weapons guy like say Triple H is and my fear is that if they are using weapons and get out of the ring this match will go longer than any of us want it to. That being said, Bobby should win here. Keeping Bobby dominant and near the title picture will help Raw. Only reason Goldberg could win would be for the Saudi crowd.

W: Bobby Lashley

John: I would love for this to go exactly how SummerSlam did. Lashley should dominate and send Goldberg packing for a long time. However with no title on the line, I don't see that happening. The no holds barred stip will be used to try to hide Goldberg's flaws at best. As much as I wanted Lashley, I think WWE gives Goldberg the win for the Saudi crowd (I mean they did have him beat The Fiend in Saudi after all).

W: Goldberg

Hell in a Cell Match

Edge vs. Seth Rollins

Jesse: This match has match of the year candidate written all over it. This has been a perfect example of a feud that deserves a Hell in a Cell match. Both of these guys are at the top of their games and will be able to deliver an all time classic. I think that this ends with Edge earning the victory and ending this feud before the affects of the draft take place this coming week.

W: Edge

Lonnie: Finally!!! We have a match that is truly worthy of Hell in a Cell. These men have been gold. Either man could win here and I would not be surprised. Rollins could win and use it as a stepping stone to then fight Big E, or Edge could win to get his retribution for Rollins involving Edge’s family and going to his house. The brutal nature of HIAC matches Edge’s character more and I think he will pull off the victory here even though I’d prefer Rollins win.

W: Edge

John: I expect this to be match of the night hands down. To me, this feels like the first feud in a long term that's deserving of a hell in a cell match and it feels organic and refreshing. Plus, I could see either man getting the win to finish the rivalry. Both men are going to Raw so I guess this could continue but I don't think so. Since SummerSlam, Rollins has had the upper hand. I think Edge comes out of this one on top after using some drastic measures. I expect this to be great!

W: Edge

Queen's Crown Tournament Finals

Doudrop vs. Zelina Vega

Jesse: I had high hopes for the women’s tournament, then I saw that all the matches were only lasting between 2 to 3 minutes. Zelina wins in order to become the heel queen that won’t get used just like Corbin when he won his crown.

W: Zelina Vega

Lonnie: When this tournament started I was sure Shayna or Liv was going to win. However here we are and neither woman even made the finals. With Doudrop being new I could see them trying to use the Crown to try and push her, but I can’t pick against my girl!! Zelina has improved in the ring over time and with her ability on the mic I think her winning the Crown would be the much better option. (Side note: Being the first Queen’s Crown, WWE had a great chance to make this mean something and it’s been very disappointing how short they have made all these matches).

W: Zelina Vega

John: This is honestly a toss up for me as I didn't expect any of these ladies to be in the finals. When I saw the bracket, I would of bet a large wager that Shayna Baszler was going to walk right through this thing. Obviously, that didn't happen. At the end of the day, I feel it's probably best for a heel to win this for the first time. Therefore, I'm going with Zelina but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way.

W: Zelina Vega

King of the Ring Tournament Finals

Finn Balor vs. Xavier Woods

Jesse: Lonnie will agree with me that this tournament has “Hindered the Jinder”, but I am actually happy with the finals. Woods has been begging for this tournament for a year, and when it finally happens, he makes it to the finals…but it’s against Finn “Top Rope” Balor. In any other instance I can see Woods winning, but I can’t get Michael Cole saying, “The Prince has become the King” after Finn wins out of my head. Finn wins an entertaining match with a few near falls from Woods.

W: Finn Balor

Lonnie: Kofi and Big E have both had break out moments as singles stars. Will this be Xavier’s chance? I don’t think so. Even if he was to win, there is no way he would move to the title scene and win. The other issue is his opponent. Balor is just too damn good and a big name. And we all know they like to have the big names win in Saudi. The Prince becomes the King!

W: Finn Balor

John: Xavier Woods has proclaimed for a long time that he has always wanted to be King of the Ring. Well, he's made it to the finals. I think that's where his run ends. I don't see a situation that makes sense to me where Balor doesn't win this. He lost to Reigns at Extreme Rules. He's coming to Raw with a fresh start and feel this should be his first big move. If Balor were to lose, I'm not sure where he would go other than a heel turn so he should pick up the win. Since we're in Saudi, they may even give us the DEMON KING!

W: Finn Balor

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship

Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (champ)

Jesse: If Becky can come back and win the title in under a minute, she is not losing the title in this match. Becky wins and takes the Smackdown title to Raw.

W: Becky Lynch

Lonnie: With Charlotte now on Smackdown after the draft, it is safe to assume one of the Raw ladies (Bianca or Becky) will win here. One part of me has high hopes for this match based on the women involved, but I do have a fear that with the match taking place in Saudi they may have it be pretty short and hurt the quality. At the end of the day I think Becky will retain by beating Sasha. This would allow them to say Becky and Bianca have unfinished business and they can continue to fight on Raw.

W: Becky Lynch

John: Well, 2/3 of these women are going to Raw and this is for the Smackdown Women's Championship. Typically, I'd be inclined to pick the person who was staying on the brand the carries that championship. However, you also have to account for Charlotte Flair who seems to be just be taking the Raw Women's Championship to Smackdown. With that said, I'm between Becky and Bianca. I'm going with Becky. If and when Bianca gets it back, it'll mean more if she beats Becky straight up. WWE will probably gives us Becky vs. Charlotte (not that we want it) at Survivor Series.

W: Becky Lynch

WWE Championship Match

Drew McIntyre vs. Big E (champ)

Jesse: A big hoss fight that Big E is not going to lose. Big E wins with a sneaky possibility of being match of the night.

W: Big E

Lonnie: This should be a great big man match and I’m looking forward to seeing it. If given time this should be one of the better matches despite the winner being obvious. With Drew being drafted to Smackdown, Big E has to win to keep the championship on Raw. Let’s hope this match makes Big E look good and keeps Drew strong in defeat so he can go fight Roman next.

W: Big E

John: Big E needs this win to further establish himself as the champion since this is his first pay-per-view defense. McIntyre is off to Smackdown after this so he shouldn't be taking the title with him. I have no doubt that these two will deliver a good to great match but I don't think the winner is in question.

W: Big E

WWE Universal Championship Match

Roman Reigns (champ) w/ Paul Heyman vs. Brock Lesnar

Jesse: I have got to admit that I am disappointed that WWE used this match for this event. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that the Saudi fans get to enjoy this live, but it feels like a slap in the face to all other fans around the world that this is only happening because WWE wants to make the Saudi government happy. I feel Brock wins the title here to give a fresh breath to Roman, but before long Heyman screws Brock and Roman wins it back.

W: Brock Lesnar

Lonnie: Roman is excellent. Brock is excellent. Heyman is excellent. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything these guys have done the last two months. We all know Lesnar is better as a heel, but them throwing in a nice little run as a face has been a nice change of pace. At the end of the day Roman is the golden boy and will walk out as champion. He is the best thing they have going and I just don’t see them doing the part time champion thing right now. The use of the Usos and Heyman will keep Brock looking strong and this match should work out well for all involved.

W: Roman Reigns

John: I've enjoyed this feud. More so than I did years ago. I guess it's been refreshing with the roles reversed. Heyman has played his role so damn well and they have planted seeds to make us wonder if he will turn on Reigns. Will Reigns kick him out of the Bloodline? Since this is in Saudi, I can't completely rule out Lesnar winning the gold but I do believe that Reigns will be walking out with the championship. I expect interference from Heyman and the Usos. I think Lesnar will be back soon to challenge again but for now, the Tribal Chief continues to rule Smackdown.

W: Roman Reigns
