NXT Takeover 36 Announced; SPOILERS for Top Championship Matches!

During NXT (7/20), the next Takeover was announce with a vignette. NXT Takeover 36 will take place Sunday, August 22nd. This comes one night after SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It's unknown at this time where this event will take place. NXT has been exclusively at the Capitol Wrestling Center since COVID-19 started. It is possible that it could also be in Las Vegas since Takeovers used to take place in the same town as main roster pay-per-views.

On the 7/27 episode of NXT, Samoa Joe resigns as the enforcer of NXT and Regal makes Samoa Joe vs. Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship. Elsewhere, NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai go to the ring and Gonzalez wants to know who her next challenger is. KAI TURNS ON GONZALEZ. It appears Kai will be Gonzalez’s challenger at Takeover.
