Before tonight's show, news broke earlier today that Timothy Thatcher has been deemed not medically cleared to compete. William Regal has said that the fight pit match between Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa will take place at a later time.
We're in the Capitol Wrestling Center with Wade Barrett and Vic Joseph on commentary. The show starts with Dexter Lumis walking up to a stage that overlooks the arena. He presses buttons on a control panel repeatedly but nothing happens. He pulls a power level and things light up to get us going!!! We're starting with some action!!
Damian Priest vs. Karrion Kross w/ Scarlett
Kross gets the dramatic elaborate entrance. This match will be commercial free. They lock up right away and go into the ropes before falling out of the ring. They send each other into the barricade and back to the apron. Back in the ring, Priest avoids some strikes and catches Kross with one. Priest works on the body of Kross until Kross catches a kick. Kross slams Priest who goes to the corner. Kross delivers kicks and punches to Priest in the corner. Kross with a big clothesline in the corner and another one in the opposite corner. Suplex by Kross for a near fall. He tossed him like he was nothing. Kross works a submission. More strikes by Kross and Priest is sent to the outside where Kross throws him into the steps. Kross picks up the steps but Priest hits him with a boot forcing Kross to drop them. Back in the ring, Kross focuses on the ribs of Priest but Priest smiles and talks trash. Kross with more strikes as he's getting pissed that Priest is standing up to him. Priest lands a kick and a big right! Priest blocks a number of punches and delivers some of his own. Flatliner by Priest!! Priest hits a running back elbow in the corner but Kross blocks a Broken Arrow. Priest lands a clothesline though and then hits a BROKEN ARROW!! Not sure he got it all as he gets a near fall off of it. Missed kick by Priest and Kross sends him to the corner but misses when charging in. Kicks and knee strikes by Priest before he takes Kross down. Priest targets the arm of Kross. Kross powers his way out of a submission and delivers elbows to the ribs of Priest. Priest lands a forearm that pisses off Kross and they trade blows. Priest gets the upper hand and hits a spring board flip onto Kross but Kross quickly turns the momentum around with a clothesline for a near fall. Kross does his best version of an Orton stomp before hanging Priest in a tree of woe. Kicks to the midsection of Priest and then a big running knee to the ribs! Kross puts Priest on the top turnbuckle but Priest blocks a suplex and escapes. Priest hits a kick between the eyes of Kross. PRIEST HITS THE RAZOR'S EDGE!!! 1...2...NO!! Kross rolls to the apron. Both men trade punches. Kross blocks a choke slam but Priest hits a roundhouse that sends Kross to the outside. PRIEST GOES UP AND OVER WITH A FLIP TO TAKE OUT KROSS!! Back in the ring, Priest goes to the top and hits a spinning heel kick!! CHOKE SLAM BY PRIEST!! 1...2...NO!!! Priest sets up for the Reckoning but Kross counters with an overhead suplex. Kross hits Priest with a power bomb!! 1...2...NO!! Priest rolls to the outside. Kross goes to meet him but gets a couple kicks for his troubles! Priest goes for a back elbow but Kross catches him and sends him into the barricade before slamming him on the steps!! We're back in the ring where they have a stand off. Big kick by Kross followed by a DOOMSDAY SAITO!! KROSS HITS PRIEST WITH A FOREARM TO THE HEAD AND THAT'S ENOUGH TO WIN!! I expected a Kross win but I'm glad Priest didn't get buried.

The first round of the Dusty Cup is next week! The Undisputed Era will face Breezango! McKenzie Mitchell is with Adam Cole and Roderick Strong. Cole says they will fulfill the golden prophecy again in 2021. They acknowledge what Breezango has done but they're not on the UE's level. The prophecy begins tonight when Kyle O'Reilly defeats Finn Balor.
The Grizzled Young Veterans are shown in the crowd.
NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match
Gran Metalik w/ Lince Dorado vs. Santos Escobar (champ) w/ Legado del Fantasma
Metalik forces Escobar into the ropes right away and we get a clean break. Escobar sends Metalik to the corner and another break. Head scissor by Metalik and they have a nice exchange. Metalik sends Escobar to the outside with a rana! Escobar gets back in the ring and hits a boot but Metalik regains control and runs the ropes before hitting another rana. To the outside they go where Metalik hits a moonsault. Back in the ring, Metalik hits a spring board swanton for a near fall. Metalik misses another moonsault but connects with a kick. Escobar goes to the apron. Metalik tries another rana but Escobar catches him and sends him into the barricade! We go to a picture in picture commercial.
Escobar gets the upper hand on the outside and throws Metalik back in the ring. Escobar uses the ring post to target the back of Metalik. Near fall for Escobar. Escobar locks in a single leg crab. Escobar hits a nice tilt-a-whirl back breaker and continue to punish Metalik.
Back from the break, Escobar puts Metalik on the top turnbuckle. Metalik fights back but Escobar lifts and drops Metalik ribs first on the top turnbuckle. 1...2...NO!! Escobar locks in a surfboard submission. Metalik counters and both men have their shoulders down for a near fall. Escobar continues to target the back. Roll up by Metalik gets a near fall. Escobar with a big clothesline for a near fall. Escobar kicks Metalik into the corner but runs into a boot. Super kick by Metalik and he follows with a reverse sling blade! A drop kick sends Escobar to the outside. Metalik flips over the ropes to take out Escobar on the outside! Back inside, spring board splash by Metalik!! 1...2...NO!! Knee to the jaw but Metalik. Metalik comes off the ropes but eats a jumping knee strike by Escobar. Escobar takes out Metalik on the outside with a suicide dive that sends Metalik into the barricade. In the ring, Escobar gets a near fall. A forearm by Escobar sends Metalik to the corner. They go to the top turnbuckle again. Metalik fights him off. Escobar targets the mask and knocks Metalik off the top. Lince Dorado takes out Legado del Fantasma. Metalik with a rana!! 1...2...NO!! Metalik goes back to the top by Escobar racks him! ESCOBAR HITS A LEGADO FOLLOWED BY THE PHANTOM DRIVER TO GET THE WIN!! Good solid match but I never bought into Metalik winning unfortunately.

Mercedes Martinez video package where she talks about Io Shirai and apparently all she cares about is the NXT Women's Championship. She tells Io that she's waiting on her.
Xia Li and Boa make their way to the ring in an elaborate entrance. They come out next to someone sitting on a throne.
Xia Li w/ Boa vs. Katrina Cortez
Xia Li lands some strikes including a nice kick. She looks back at the person sitting on the throne. As if she is looking for approval. All Xia Li here. More strikes. A JUMPING KNEE AND ANOTHER SPIN KICK TO THE FACE ENDS IT!! Squash. Xia and Boa walk back to the person on the throne and bow.

Commentary talks about the breaking news earlier today regarding the injury to Timothy Thatcher. He suffered a minor injury while training. He's not cleared but once he is, the fight pit match with Tommaso Ciampa will happen.
McKenzie is with Bronson Reed. He's dealt with his share of injuries but he's back and now more aggressive than ever. He's putting everyone on notice for 2021. Speaking of aggression, his money is on Rhea Ripley for the last woman standing match. It's next!
Last Woman Standing Match
Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez
Ripley hits a running drop kick right away! Ripley attacks in the corner. Lou Thesz press by Ripley and they roll around the ring trading punches!! Gonzalez hits a big clothesline followed by a slam. Fall away slam by Gonzalez and she follows that up with another one! The ref counts but Ripley is up at 4. Gonzalez with more strikes as she over powers Ripley. Ripley fires back with kicks and takes down Gonzalez before hitting a basement drop kick sending Gonzalez to the outside. On the outside, Ripley tackles Gonzalez into the apron. Ripley gets a kendo stick from under the ring and wears her out. Gonzalez finally catches it. RIPLEY RUNS AND JUMPS OFF THE STEPS BUT GONZALEZ SWATS HER IN MID AIR WITH A CHAIR!! Gonzalez sends Ripley into the barricade before using the kendo stick on her. Ripley returns the favor and sends Gonzalez into the barricade. RIPLEY USES HANDCUFFS TO HANDCUFF GONZALEZ TO THE FENCE BARRICADE!! Ripley gets the kendo stick by Gonzalez kicks her away and BREAKS THE HANDCUFFS!! Gonzalez hits Ripley over the back with the handcuffs! Ripley sends Gonzalez back first into the ring post. RIPLEY GRABS THE RING BELL HAMMER BUT GONZALEZ BLOCKS IT AND SENDS RIPLEY HEAD FIRST INTO THE RING BELL!! The ref count but Ripley is up at about 6. Gonzalez clears the announce table and DROPS RIPLEY BACK FIRST ON IT! That was sick looking as RIPLEY'S BACK HIT THE EDGE AND THE TABLE COLLAPSED!! Gonzalez buries Ripley!! Ripley is up at 8!! We go to a split screen commercial.
Back in the ring, Ripley is in pain in the corner. Suplex by Gonzalez who is firmly in control. Gonzalez stalks Ripley and delivers more punishment. Gonzalez clotheslines Ripley up and out of the ring near the entrance ramp! The ref starts counting but Gonzalez is out and grabs the steps. Ripley avoids it and DDTS GONZALEZ ON THE STEPS!! Both ladies beat the count.
Gonzalez gets the steps and hits Ripley multiple times. They've fought up the the stage now. A KICK BY GONZALEZ SENDS RIPLEY OFF THE STAGE!! A stiff kick at that! They fight to the backstage area. RIPLEY TACKLES GONZALEZ THROUGH A GLASS DOOR!! "This is awesome" chants by the crowd. Both ladies beat the count. Ripley has the upper hand and sends Gonzalez into some lockers among other things. Ripley puts Gonzalez on a catering table. RIPLEY GETS ON TOP OF THE LOCKERS AND DOES THE SUCK IT CHOP BEFORE FLIPPING ONTO GONZALEZ PUTTING HER THROUGH THE TABLE!!! Ripley is up and DAKOTA KAI IS HERE TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF RIPLEY WITH A KENDO STICK!! Gonzalez is up now. Ripley tries to fight them both off. RIPLEY DESTROYS KAI WITH A LOCKER DOOR AND CLOSES KAI IN A LOCKER!!! Ripley pins her in there with a storage case. They fight back to the stage where Gonzalez hits Ripley with a chair! Ripley still fights and LOCKS GONZALEZ IN THE PRISM TRAP WHILE HAVING THE CHAIR AROUND GONZALEZ'S NECK!! Gonzalez some how escapes and sends Ripley face first into the stage support beam. They both beat the count. Gonzalez charges but Ripley back drops her into the LED board!! That was a hard landing. Both ladies are up but Gonzalez sends Ripley face first into the steps. GONZALEZ LIFTS RIPLEY WHILE STANDING ON THE STEPS AND POWER BOMBS HER THROUGH THE STAGE!!! GONZALEZ GETS TO HER FEET AT 9 BUT RIPLEY DOESN'T BEAT THE COUNT!! Damn that was brutal and props to both ladies for a hell of a brawl. Gonzalez needed the win more and she got it.

The Way are making their way to the building with a police escort!! They're next!! We go a split screen commercial. Referees and officials check on Ripley. Commentary says NXT is now available to watch in South Korea.
The escort arrives with The Way at the arena. The Way make their way to the ring. They all have mics and Gargano says that's how you make an entrance. Gargano talks about curses and how he has reversed his curse! LeRae says Gargano might be the most powerful person to ever exist and she got something for him. It's a plaque that says Gargano beats Leon Ruff and shows the date he broke the curse. Austin Theory says Gargano is like a real life superhero. They unveil a picture that shows The Way looking like the Fantastic Four. Gargano announces that him and Theory are entering the Dusty Tag Team Classic. SHOTZI BLACKHEART IS HERE TO INTERRUPT!!! Blackheart asks LeRae if she forgot about her. Theory takes offense and Blackheart shoots him in the ball with her cannon. Gargano check on Theory and SHOTZI HITS THE RING. Shotzi takes out Indi and Candice. Gargano approaches the ring but is taken out by KUSHIDA!! Kushida and Shotzi stand tall! Dexter Lumis is outside the ring and rings the bell!
Mixed Tag Team Match
Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae vs. Kushida & Shotzi Blackheart
Gargano and LeRae are pissed they have a match now. LeRae and Blackheart start it and it's all Blackheart early as we go to a picture in picture break.
Blackheart sends LeRae out of the ring and The Way have a huddle. Back in the ring, Candice gains control and targets Shotzi's arm as they go to the outside. Blackheart is sent into the ring post. Back in the ring, LeRae gets a near fall. LeRae tries to target the arm but Blackheart fights back unsuccessfully. The split screen goes away to a commercial.
We're back with Blackheart beating on LeRae in the corner. LeRae comes back with more arm work. Near fall for LeRae. Lumis is on commentary but not saying anything. LeRae locks in a sleeper but Blackheart counters with an arm breaker. Kushida tags in which means Gargano must come in. Kushida is rolling with all kinds of kicks! Kushida finally misses one and Gargano with a forearm. Kushida quickly regains control with an arm breaker. Gargano counters into the Gargano Escape. Kushida reverses back to the arm breaker but Gargano gets to the ropes. Kushida grabs the arm and takes Gargano down face first. Both men trade strikes. Kushida charges in the corner but LeRae steps in the middle. Gargano almost takes out LeRae by accident. Shotzi is in and hits an assisted slice of bread to Candice. Both Shotzi and Kushida hit arm breakers! A spring board kick to Gargano by Kushida and Shotzi suicide dives onto Candice! In the ring, Theory takes out Kushida while Indi Hartwell takes out Blackheart outside. Kushida drop toe holds Gargano into Theory's groin!! KUSHIDA ROLLS UP GARGANO FOR THE WIN!! Good quick sprint.

Backstage, Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly are warming up. The main is next and commercial free!
McKenzie is backstage with William Regal. The first round of the Dusty Tag Team Classic starts next week. Regal announces that we will soon have the first ever women's Dusty Classic!
Pete Dunne and NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are ringside for the main event.
NXT Championship Match
Kyle O'Reilly vs. Finn Balor (champ)
This will be commercial free. They have some good chain wrestling in the early going with O'Reilly taking Balor down with a shoulder tackle. More chain wrestling with O'Reilly taking Balor down again and applying a head scissors. Balor escapes for a stand off. Balor takes down O'Reilly and goes to a head lock. O'Reilly up but Balor takes him back down. O'Reilly escapes with another head scissors and focuses on Balor's neck and jaw. Both men trade counters with O'Reilly getting the upper hand. Balor kips up but O'Reilly stops him with an arm breaker. O'Reilly goes to the arm again but Balor counters with an abdominal stretch. O'Reilly counters into an arm bar. Balor rolls through and back to the abdominal stretch. Balor turns to keep O'Reilly from the ropes. O'Reilly gets to the ropes by biting them. Balor with a shot to the face of O'Reilly!! A stiff shot. Medical staff comes to check on O'Reilly. Balor takes down O'Reilly and hits an elbow before going to the chin lock. O'Reilly gets to his feet and rips Balor to the mat before going back to the arm. Knees to Balor and Balor rolls to the apron. Balor with a forearm but O'Reilly dragon screws Balor's arm to take him down. Balor turns the tide and uses the ropes to choke O'Reilly. He breaks before going right back to it. He breaks again and begins stomping O'Reilly. It's getting physical quickly. Drop kick by Balor for a near fall. O'Reilly hits a belly to back suplex but Balor rolls to counter and goes after the jaw of O'Reilly. O'Reilly makes it to the ropes to force a break. Balor chops O'Reilly in the corner and grinds his forearm across O'Reilly's jaw. An elbow by Balor gets a near fall. Balor goes back to work on the jaw. O'Reilly fights back with kicks and plants a knee to Balor's midsection. Knee strikes by O'Reilly before taking Balor down. O'Reilly takes Balor down for a near fall. O'Reilly targets the arm but Balor knees his way out of it. Balor avoids a charge but O'Reilly with a knee strike. Both men trade kicks but a standing switch by O'Reilly. O'Reilly tries a heel hook but Balor sends him to the outside. O'Reilly beats the count at 9! Both men trade blows and O'Reilly locks in a guillotine but Balor blocks. Triangle by O'Reilly. Balor escapes! O'Reilly locks in a heel hook!! Balor gets O'Reilly in the jaw to break the hold! Balor delivers strikes to the head of O'Reilly before driving him to the mat! BALOR HITS 1916 and transitions to a crossface!!! O'Reilly escapes! Both men get to their feet and trade forearms/kicks. Balor with a sling blade!! Stomp by Balor!! JOHN WOO DROP KICK SENDS O'REILLY TO THE CORNER!! Balor goes up top but O'Reilly cuts him off with a kick. Both men are on the top turnbuckle. SUPERPLEX BY O'REILLY!! 1...2...NO.. Brain buster by O'Reilly!! 1....2....NO!! O'Reilly tries an arm bar but transitions to the other arm! Balor gets to the ropes! O'Reilly charges at Balor in the corner but Balor drops him with a kick. BALOR GETS THE ABDOMINAL STRETCH AGAINS!! THEY GO TO THE MAT BUT BALOR STILL HAS IT LOCK IN APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE JAW!! O"REILLY TAPS OUT!! Balor has a bad cut above his eye! Not quite on the same level as their Takeover match but still really good!

Post match, the Undisputed Era comes to the ring to check on O'Reilly. O'Reilly looks disappointed as Balor stares down at him. End Show.
