NXT 6/3/2020: Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Crowned!
The match between Candice LeRae and Mia Yim ended in a double count out when they brawled on the outside. Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez, Shotzi Blackheart, Keith Lee, and Johnny Gargano all got involved. This led to a mixed tag team match between Lee/Yim vs. Garganos. The Garganos won after Gargano raked Lee's eyes with his car keys and Candice rolled up Mia. Gargano posed with the NXT North American title after.
A video package hyped Tommaso Ciampa vs. Karrion Kross.
Dexter Lumis was interviewed and asked his thoughts about Cole vs. Dream. He said nothing but grabbed an easel and drew a picture of him driving a car with Undisputed Era tied up in the back.
Drake Maverick was interviewed and said he felt no pressure for his match. It's either going to be the best or worst night of his career.
During Prime Target, it was announced on NXT (6/3) that the NXT Championship match between Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream will be a Backlot Brawl.
Isiah "Swerve" Scott picked up a win over Tony Nese.
There was a triple threat tag team match to determine the number one contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship. A returning Breezango defeated the Undisputed Era and Oney Lorcan/Danny Burch after a distraction by Dexter Lumis. After the match, Imperium came out to see Breezango and they were followed by Malcolm Bivens and Indus Sher. No conflict occurred. It hasn't been announced when the title match will take place.
Highlights of Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair's victory last week. Chelsea Green fired Robert Stone after that match.
Santana Garrett defeated Aliyah who was with Robert Stone.
Another Prime Target previewed the triple threat match for the NXT Women's Championship between champion Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Io Shirai.
Cameron Grimes defeated Bronson Reed. Karrion Kross came out after to destroy Reed and talk about Ciampa.
A six woman tag team match is announced for NXT Takeover: In Your House. The team of Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, and Shotzi Blackheart vs. Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, & Raquel Gonzalez.
In the main event, El Hijo del Fantasma defeated Drake Maverick to become the Interim NXT Cruiserweight champion after a distraction from the masked luchadores!
NXT ends with Drake Maverick getting a standing ovation and he looks into the camera to tell everyone he loves them. He walks up the ramp where he's greeted by Triple H with a NEW CONTRACT!!!
