This is for sure going to be the most unique Money in the Bank pay-per-view in history. There was lots of talking coming in how the Money in the Bank matches would be given the recent Firefly Funhouse match and Boneyard Match. The theme here is "Climb the Corporate Ladder" and "The Risk is worth The Reward".

Kickoff Show Match

Jeff Hardy vs. Cesaro

This is Hardy's return match. He's got green face paint for Money in the Bank. Cesaro is a great choice for his return match in my opinion. Cesaro takes control early with head locks. Jeff counters and gets advantage as the action goes outside. Jeff tries to jump off the stairs but Cesaro catches him and drops him on the barricade and he falls over the barricade to the other side. Jeff beats the count where Cesaro is waiting to stomp him. Cesaro wears him down on the ropes then hits an elbow from the second rope for a near fall. Jeff stops his momentum and uses a kick to send Cesaro to the outside. However, Cesaro sends Hardy into the ring apron multiple times ribs first. Back in the ring, Cesaro hits a leg drop from the second rope for a near fall. Cesaro continues working on Hardy's ribs and eventually locks in an abdominal stretch. Jeff escapes with a hip toss. Cesaro gets back in control and gains a couple near falls. Jeff escapes a chin lock and hits a jaw breaker to create some space. They trade blows in the middle of the ring. Jeff hits an atomic drop and drops his legs on Cesaro's midsection. Near fall. Cesaro avoids the Twist of Fate. Hardy goes up to the top but Cesaro racks him on the turnbuckle. Cesaro attempts a gut wrench suplex but Hardy blocks it and hits Whisper in the Wind! Near fall again. They trade back slide counters then Jeff hits Twist of Fate for a near fall!! Scoop slam by Hardy and he goes to the top again only to get an uppercut from Cesaro. This time Cesaro hits the gut wrench suplex for a near fall! Neutralizer attempt by Cesaro but Hardy flips him over and Cesaro lands on his feet and hits Jeff with a big clothesline. 2 count! Hardy rolls out of the ring. Cesaro hits a running uppercut but then Jeff throws Cesaro into the steps. Jeff runs the guard rail and takes out Cesaro. He rolls Cesaro back in the ring and hits a Swanton for the win!! Great match was far as kickoff shows go.

Fatal Four Way Match for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships

The New Day (champs) vs. Lucha House Party vs. John Morrison & The Miz vs. The Forgotten Sons w/ Jaxson Ryker

The match starts with Kofi and Gran Metalik. Kofi gets the advantage after an exchange. They have another exchange in which Metalik gains the advantage. They trade counters and have a stand off. Blake comes in after a blind tag on Kofi. The Forgotten Sons trade tags and wear down Metalik. Metalik takes them out as Morrison tags himself in. Metalik goes up to the top but Miz distracts him allowing Morrison to go up top with Metalik. Metalik hits a Spanish fly on Morrison to the outside onto everyone else!! Metalik hits a splash on Morrison back inside for a 2 count. Cutler tags out Morrison and Ryker interferes behind the refs back to giver Cutler the advantage. Near fall by Cutler and Forgotten Sons are in control. Metalik has been in the match for a while. He finally tags out to Lince Dorado who runs wild on Morrison. Springboard hurricanrana into a pin for a near fall as Blake breaks it up. Kofi tags in. Morrison hits a springboard kick from the second rope on Kofi and tags in Miz. Kofi gains control over Miz and hits a boom drop. Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise but Miz blocks it and goes for a figure four. Kofi kicks him out of the ring and Cutler tags Miz as he goes out. Kofi makes a tag to Big E. Cutler beats down Big E in the corner. Kofi tags Big E and with Cutler on Big E's shoulders, Kofi comes off the top with a stomp on Cutler's chest. Near fall! Big E is back in and they go for the Midnight Hour but Kofi gets wiped out by Morrison. The Forgotten Sons attempt to finish Big E but Miz makes a tag and hits a Skull Crushing Finale on Blake! Morrison hits Starship Pain on Big E! The pin gets broken up by Lucha House Party. Lucha House Party takes out Miz and then Dorado takes out Morrison with a springboard stunner! He follows that with a springboard hurricanrana! Lucha House Party teams up on Big E. Big E and Dorado are the legal men. Dorado hits splash from the top and Metalik drops an elbow from the top for a near fall. The Forgotten Sons are back in and they attempt to take out Big E but no luck. Everyone is on the outside. Ryker interferes and gets ejected by the ref. Lucha House Party takes out everyone outside with springboard splashes. Big E and Metalik are back in the ring. Metalik goes for another springboard but Big E catches him. Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise on Dorado and Big E hits the Big Ending on Metalik for the win!! This was great fast paced action and everyone got to shine.

Lacey Evans cuts a promo about how she was made for Money in the Bank. She claims she'll win tonight. Charly Caruso interviews Drew McIntyre. Drew says Seth Rollins is great but he won't lose the title tonight.

R-Truth vs. MVP

Truth raps and asks the audience "What's up?" There is obviously no crowd there. MVP gets on the mic. Truth claims he wants to teach MVP about ballin'. Here comes Bobby Lashley. Lashley tells MVP to take the night off.....

R-Truth vs. Bobby Lashley

Truth accidentally slaps Lashley and Lashley is pissed! Lashley destroys Truth in the corner. Very brief offense by Truth. Lashley hits a spine buster. Truth escapes a suplex and goes for a scissors kick. No luck for Truth as Lashley moves out of the way and hits Truth with a spear for the win! This was pointless and once Lashley came out, we knew the outcome.

WWE Smackdown Women's Championship Match

Bayley (champ) w/ Sasha Banks vs. Tamina

Bayley starts by pushing Tamina and going right after her. Tamina isn't having it and takes Bayley to the corner. Bayley tries a sleeper but has no luck with it. Tamina takes control and puts Bayley on the top turnbuckle. Tamina says Bayley is disrespectful. Tamina backs off and challenges Bayley to come to the center of the ring where Tamina slams her. Bayley rolls out of the ring. Bayley pulls Tamina's legs out from under her and drags her over to the ring post. Bayley repeatedly wraps Tamina's leg around the post. Bayley focuses on the knee and tells commentary she's a role model haha. Back inside, Bayley beats down Tamina. Tamina attempts to come back. Tamina is moving so slow. She squashes Bayley in the corner. Tamina goes for a super kick but Bayley catches her in a knee bar. Tamina makes it to the ropes as Corey Graves explains that Bayley could of won if she locked it in deeper. Bayley continues the attack. Bayley attempts to pick her up but collapses and Tamina falls on her. Bayley gives her a couple kicks before rolling outside to call a time out. Bayley keeps beating her down and "borrows" Corey Graves' water and throws it in Tamina's face. Tamina gets pissed and whoops Bayley on the outside. Back in, Tamina tries a Samoan drop but Bayley escapes onto the apron where she eats a super kick from Tamina and falls to the floor. Tamina goes after her and throws Bayley across the announce table. Tamina throws her back in and goes to the top. Tamina comes off the top goofy. Commentary says she was going for splash but I'm not so sure about that. Bayley gets her legs up but Tamina catches them. Tamina gets Bayley up for the Samoan drop and hits it! Sasha gets in the ring to distract Tamina before she can make a cover. Tamina goes out after Banks. Bayley goes after Tamina but Tamina gets her up again and attempts another Samoan drop but Bayley counters it into a crucifix pin for the win that didn't look good. Props to Bayley but even she couldn't pull a decent match out of Tamina.

Post match, Tamina goes for a Samoan drop on Bayley but Sasha makes the save and takes out Tamina. Sasha and Bayley celebrate together.

Seth Rollins claims he will unburden Drew McIntyre tonight and do us all a favor.

WWE Universal Championship Match

Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman (champ)

Bray tells commentary they're doing a great job as he makes his way to the ring haha. Bray cheers Braun during his entrance. Strowman over powers Wyatt early on. Wyatt is great with his remarks about how strong Strowman is. On the outside, Strowman continues to stay in control. In the ring, he squashes Wyatt in the corner and Wyatt falls out of the ring. Strowman gets out and runs around the ring looking for his shoulder block but Wyatt side steps him and Strowman goes right over the announce table. The puppets appear in the crowd cheering on Bray. Bray DDTs Braun on the floor. Bray maintains control in the ring and gets a near fall. Wyatt stays on the attack outside again and throws Strowman into the steps. Wyatt is acting conflicted as he continues the beat down. Wyatt hits tornado DDT from the corner and follows up with Sister Abigail for a near fall!! Bray looks shocked! Wyatt goes for another Sister Abigail but Strowman hits a choke slam! Strowman hits a couple splashes in the corner. On the outside, Strowman hits the running shoulder block this time sending Wyatt into the barricade. Strowman throws him back in the ring. When Braun attempts to get back in, Bray kicks him in the face sending Braun to the floor. Braun rises up from the floor wearing a black sheep mask! Bray starts crying with happiness. Bray says he told "him" to give him a chance to find Braun. Braun gets back in the ring with the mask on. Bray is on his knees. Bray promises Braun this time everything will be perfect. Braun gets on his knees and holds out his arms. Bray gets to his feet followed by Braun. Bray says "He told him". They hug!! The puppets are at ringside and they praise Bray. Huskus says "Braun is home! Yay!" Braun pushes Bray and takes off the sheep mask. Strowman throws it on the ground and stomps on it. Bray is mad! Braun hits him with a power slam and that finishes it! Not a good wrestling match by any means but this told a good story and should lead to The Fiend coming after Strowman.

After the match, Bray lays in the corner and we see a couple images of The Fiend flash across the screen.

We get another video from the hacker. He claims he is everywhere, sees everyone, hears everything, and no one is safe. The truth will be heard.

WWE Championship Match

Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre (champ)

New music for Seth Rollins to go along with his Messiah persona. The match starts with a lock up and Drew powers him into the corner and lets Rollins come back to the middle of the ring. Head lock by Rollins and McIntyre gets out of it and takes Rollins down with a shoulder block. Rollins exits the ring for a breather. Rollins gets back in and they trade head locks before Drew takes him down and then clotheslines Seth out of the ring. Rollins takes his time getting back in. Seth goes on the offense with Drew in the corner. Drew turns the tide with a hellacious chop. Drew takes control. More big chops and a nice suplex by McIntyre. Drew goes for slam but Rollins takes out his left knee. Rollins targets the knee and then throws McIntyre shoulder first into the ring post and McIntyre falls to the outside. Suicide dive by Rollins. Back in the ring, Rollins takes McIntyre down with a sling blade but Drew powers out of a cover. Rollins locks in a single leg crab and then turns it into a STF. Drew reaches for the ropes and Rollins turns it into a crossface. Drew makes it to the ropes! Rollins kicks McIntyre to the outside. Seth goes for another suicide dive and takes Drew out again in front of commentary. Rollins runs the apron and hits McIntyre with a knee to the face. Rollins breaks the count. Seth jumps from the barricade and delivers another knee to Drew's face. He breaks the count again and then jumps off the announce table to deliver another knee strike. Seth goes to the well one too many times as he goes for a suicide dive and Drew catches him and belly-to-belly throws Seth over the announce table! Both men back in the ring. Another belly-to-belly throw by Drew. A third! Big boot by Drew. McIntyre goes up top and connects on Rollins. He thinks about a Claymore but Rollins rolls out of the ring. Seth catches Drew by hanging him on the ropes and then with a kick to the head. Seth attempts a springboard but Drew ducks it and hits a spine buster. Near fall! Drew goes for the Future Shock DDT but Seth avoids it and hits an enziguri. Super kick by Rollins and a kick out at 1!! Frog splash by Rollins. Drew powers out! Seth goes out to grab a chair. The ref warns him he'll be disqualified. Seth goes for the stomp but Drew hits the Glasgow Kiss. Drew runs at Seth in the corner but Seth avoids him. Drew goes up and Seth racks him. Rollins attempt a superplex but McIntyre knocks him off with a head butt. Rollins runs back up to hit a superplex and falcon arrow! Near fall! Drew avoids the stomp and hits the Future Shock DDT. Near fall again. Drew puts Seth on the top turnbuckle. Drew goes up top with him. Seth racks Drew again and hangs him in the tree of woe. Rollins stomps McIntyre's bad knee. Drew rises up to hit a German suplex on Seth! He went half way across the ring! Rollins counters the Claymore with a super kick. Stomp!! Near fall!!! Seth sets up for another stomp but Glasgow Kiss by Drew! Seth bounces off the ropes and hits a super kick on Drew only for him to bounce off the ropes and hit the Claymore!! Ball game!! These two tore the house down. Just a shame there was no crowd for this one.

After the match, Drew offers a handshake and Seth accepts it.

R-Truth is interviewed by Charly. He said MVP was tough opponent and he can't believe he beat him. He's coming after his baby, the 24/7, 48/7, 7-11, I-95 South, 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue championship. He's going to sack Tom Brady and get it back! Charly clarifies that he meant Rob Gronkowski.

"Climb the Corporate Ladder" Money in the Bank Ladder Matches

Women's: Lacey Evans vs. Nia Jax vs. Carmella vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Dana Brooke vs. Asuka

Men's: AJ Styles vs. Otis vs. Aleister Black vs. King Corbin vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Daniel Bryan

These matches are happening simultaneously. I'll do my best to cover everything. The men are starting in the gym. A bunch of trash talk happens during the men's entrances. Asuka starts on the second level and jumps down taking out all the other ladies who are standing in the lobby. Asuka then takes off for the elevator. She gets in and closes the door before the other ladies can get to it. We got an elevator cam on Asuka. The men pair off and we're underway. Shayna, Lacey, and Carmella run for the stairs. The men brawl on the weight equipment. Aleister/Rey, Corbin/Bryan, and Otis/Styles are paired off. Corbin throws a weight at Bryan but he ducks and the weight breaks a mirror. Otis picks up some heavy weights and lowers them onto Styles pinning him to the floor so he can't get up. All the men take off running to another area except Styles. The men (except Styles) all run by a restroom where Rey hears a toilet flush so he stops. It's BROTHER LOVE!! His music plays and and he lets Rey know he loves him. Rey just smiles and he's off to find the others. The men are brawling through the halls now. Corbin, Black, Rey, and Otis all get in an elevator. By the time Rey gets there, the door is closed and we assume Styles is still in the gym. Shayna, Carmella, and Lacey are shown fighting in a stair well. They get to the elevators where the four men are getting off the elevators. Asuka is shown on the elevator cam in a different elevator. In front of the elevators, there is a ring ropes display where everyone is brawling. Asuka's elevator door opens. She pokes her head out and then takes off running. Shayna sees her and goes to chase. Black is beating down Otis before running off to continue going up the floors. Bryan ties Corbin in the ring ropes and delivers the "Yes" kicks. Otis cheers with each one haha. Bryan gives Otis a few for his troubles. Bryan takes off running. DOINK sighting in the corner behind a chair!! Nia has caught up to Shayna, Dana, and Carmella. They fight into the Money in the Bank conference room. Shayna throws Dana over the conference table and squares off with Nia. Nia knocks down Shayna and then Dana hits Nia in the back with a chair taking her down. Dana spots a clear Money in the Bank briefcase that is full of money hanging above the conference table and her eyes light up. She gets on the table and retrieves it. Music plays as she celebrates. STEPHANIE MCMAHON appears in the door way to get Dana's attention! She basically tells Dana that she's an idiot and that she has the wrong briefcase. Then Stephanie asks her to clean up Nia's drool. Carmella takes a poster of herself off the wall and smashes it over Dana's head. "Mella is money". Carmella leaves the room and walks into a Woman's Right by Lacey. AJ is finally free and looking for Rey. He sees a poster of Rey. He passes a poster of Roman Reigns before seeing a huge picture of the Undertaker. AJ appears to have PTSD from their Boneyard match at WrestleMania. He opens a door looking for Rey and there's purple lighting with a casket while Undertaker's music plays. More PTSD for Styles as he has flashbacks. Aleister kicks AJ upside the head and closes him inside the room. PAUL HEYMAN is sitting in catering. All the competitors with the exception of AJ and Asuka are now at catering. Heyman interrupts them with his usual "My name is..." speech. Dana stumbles into Heyman with the poster still over her head. Otis announces "Food Fight!!". He throws a platter of food right in Heyman's face. Everyone else looks shocked that he just did that. Everyone brawls now and food is going everywhere. Shayna puts Rey to sleep!! As Rey is falling, Otis and Nia squash him! More brawling. Nia throws Dana into a Coke machine. Nia power bombs Carmella threw a table. Nia and Otis have a stand off but nothing happens. Otis goes to the bakery where JOHN LAURINAITIS comes rolling through on a motorized cart. "People Power!" Otis pies him in the face! We see a janitor mopping the kitchen and Asuka tries to ask him how to get to the roof but he doesn't understand anything she's saying. Shayna, Lacey, and Nia find her. As they're leaving, Dana catches up but slips on the floor and she's taken out. Asuka, Shayna, Lacey, and Nia continue to brawl. Nia picks up Shayna and throws her into a wall. Asuka finds another stairwell followed by Nia and then Lacey. We see Bryan and Black fighting before Styles catches up to them. Bryan and Styles fight into VINCE MCMAHON's office. His music plays and he tells them to get the hell out! They leave but come back and fix the chairs they messed up before leaving again. They leave and Vince has to sanitize his hands haha. AJ and Daniel talk trash to each other before continuing to brawl. Corbin shows up to take them out with some kind of pipe; All three battle into another conference room. Corbin leaves them laying and heads for the roof. Asuka and Nia are first to the roof, The fight in the ring and Lacey arrives. Nia gets control and tries to climb a ladder but Asuka stops her. Nia takes her down but Lacey delivers a Woman's Right to Nia! Lacey climbs but Asuka stops her too. Asuka tips the ladder over onto Nia. Lacey prevents Asuka from climbing. Lacey tries to go up but Asuka stops her again. Lacey and Asuka both try to climb and Asuka knocks Lacey off and she falls onto Nia. Asuka has clear path but Corbin is here now. He climbs the opposite side of the ladder as Asuka. For some dumb reason, Corbin tries to stop Asuka from winning which makes no sense since they could both win. Asuka knocks Corbin off and grabs the women's briefcase!!! They show a replay of Asuka grabbing the case and when they return the women's hook and scaffolding is gone. Otis is on the roof now. He goes to climb but the rungs of the ladder break. Corbin stops him and uses the ladder on him as a weapon. Otis hits a caterpillar on Corbin. Black Mass on Otis out of no where! Rey is here now. Rey and Aleister both try to climb but Styles is here to push the ladder over. Corbin throws Rey off the roof! He sends Aleister off the roof after him!! Double homicide?!?! AJ sets up a ladder and climbs. Bryan is here to go up the other side to meet him. Otis and Corbin stop them. Corbin throws Bryan out of the ring. Styles takes out Otis with a Phenomenal forearm! Styles climbs one side and Corbin climbs the other. The briefcase gets unhooked but they both have hands on it!! ELIAS shows up and smashes a guitar on the back of Corbin! The briefcase falls into the arms of Otis and he's the winner!!!! Otis shouts out "Mandy, I did it!" This was all kinds of wild. The cameos were great and it was entertaining. I think lack of commentary made this better. Asuka definitely deserves it as she has carried the "no fans" shows. Otis was a surprise and we'll see where it leads.

Overall Rating: 6/10

I give the WWE a lot of credit for attempting something different. It definitely got people talking and wondering how things would go. The kickoff show had a good match when you consider what's normally on a kickoff show. The tag match has lots of fast paced action and everyone got to shine. The middle of the event is what brought it down. The Lashley/Truth stuff could of been done on Raw. Tamina is just terrible and kudos to Bayley for trying but the match wasn't very good. Braun/Bray was a bad wrestling match but they made up for some of that with good story telling off their history. Rollins/McIntyre was great. Just a shame there was no crowd because an audience could of taken it to the next level. The Money in the Bank matches were a mixed bag. They went with the cinematic styles and I found it to be entertaining until they got to the roof. I like the Asuka win as I feel she's the most deserving. I just thought they would give the win to Shayna or Nia. The Otis win is unexpected but I won't hate on it until I see how it plays out; I'm definitely intrigued. I'll be honest and say I wasn't sure how to rate the Money in the Banks matches but I gave the men's match a slightly better rating only because I feel the men were highlighted more and got more screen time during the match.
