Kurt Angle to be referee for cage fight

It was announced today on WWE.com that Kurt Angle will be on NXT this Wednesday (5/27) to be the special referee for the cage fight between Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher. To my knowledge, this will Kurt Angle's first time on NXT programming.

Also on NXT this week, Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai will team up to take on Charlotte Flair and a partner of her choosing.
