On Smackdown (9/3), the first match for Extreme Rules was made. Bianca Belair had challenged Becky Lynch to a WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match on Smackdown. Belair even said that since Roman Reigns was facing Finn Balor for the WWE Universal Championship, Lynch should give her a championship match. Lynch said she doesn't give a damn what Reigns does.
Later in the night, Lynch was walking backstage when she ran into Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. They announced that Lynch would defend against Belair at Extreme Rules. They also announced a contract signing for the match on next week's Smackdown at Madison Square Garden!
Here is the updated card:
WWE Smackdown Women's Championship Match
