I think everyone can agree that today’s programming is unique. Whether you view it as a good/bad thing is personal preference. With that being said.... rumor is the “Climbing the Corporate Ladder” matches are being filmed in a cinematic fashion.
Is this a good thing? Is having both MITB being cinematic doable? Will this be a great success after the Boneyard?
Regardless, it should be interesting to watch and clearly WWE is trying to entertain us in new ways.
I think the cinematic matches will die down once they get live crowds back. Until then, ratings are going to keep going down in general regardless of what they do. They have created some intrigue with these money in the bank matches though. They could be good or a train wreck in my opinion.
Do you feel if matches continue to be more cinematic and the element of “live action” is removed, viewers will see events like MITB more as episodes released by WWE (like Tiger King dropping another episode a couple weeks later) and WWE will lose out in ratings to shows such as the “The Last Dance”? that are on at the same time? Will the need to watch right away slowly disappear because the event won’t be seen as being live, even if some parts still are?
It wouldn’t be right without some botches
Granted I will give it a chance, but I don’t have my hopes too high. I want wrestling, I want Balor doing that double bounce off the ladder from last year, I want Cena accidentally pulling the briefcase off before he was suppose to, I don’t want something they filmed over and over again to get right.
I’m thinking the MITB matches will be more like the final Gargano/Ciampa match which was kind of a cross of both.
